Seems like a good assortment and a lot of food for the money. This is a decent brand their food cans are rated well.

Just note there's no meat in this, so not a lot of protein. But to get better food, with meat, like Montainhouse, it's a lot more money.

Expiration dates in the Amazon reviews suggest these are good for 25 years. In case you're wondering, like I was.

FWIW, I hear McDonalds stored in open air lasts this long allegedly. I might mix and match for variety.

Too many dairy items. When I'm this desperate the last thing I also need is diarrhea.

All carbs, little to no protein. All of these items are basically filler. Also realize it's not freeze dried, it's dehydrated. And the servings are not packaged individually. Once you open one of the packages, you better eat it all. And the ingredients on these are horrendous. (Alfredo made with fake non-dairy creamer? Yuck)

Mountain House is still the gold standard if you want decent long term storage complete meals. Yes it costs more. It depends what your priorities are with this.

IMO there are much better options than this

The target market for this is the same as Jim Bakker's buckets: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rOH37W0jPpA

They won't last 25 years though. By the time you buy canning jars, oxygen absorbers, etc you are still dishing out $65.
Doesn't have to, keep some store bought canned staples in your pantry, garage, basement and rotate them through regular use. You do not need these emergency buckets unless space.weight is your absolutely major limit and you have water. A can of green beans, baked beans, kidney beans or any vegetable can easily last 5-10 years and you can eat it directly out of the can and canned vegetables have a bonus of water in them. Canned meats in oil have a rated best by shelf life of 3-5 years and do last much longer. A regular store bought bag of beans or rice, the same. A box of regular mac and cheese can last 5+ years provided bugs don't get to the pasta. You can make box mac and cheese and throw in a can of tuna a few times a year to rotate your stock if you have absolutely no other use for those items. Think outside the box.

Hurricane = Home gone.
Tornado = Home gone.
Earthquake = Home leveled.
Flood = Everything gone or ruined.
Nuked = Everything leveled w/ radiation poisoning.
Aliens = Likely abduction and can't get to this stuff...

So what's the point of this? Zombies??

Bought this same bucket from Amazon back in 2020, height of Covid and it was $56.98, so not bad considering inflation. Haven't opened it yet though.
I think I did too

To make money off the conspiratorial types.

The best prep is a properly stocked pantry (which you should already be rotating food through in your everyday life if you are a serious person.), a generator stored water-tight, and education, in particular about your very local surroundings.

I thought it was if you need to GTFO in case you get warning of any of those things happening, and it's a convenient source of food in a portable bucket that you can take with you if you're not sure where your next meal may come from.

I vote for sardines instead. You can eat them without waiting for the world to end, and give them out at Halloween too.
If you don't eat them you can sell them to MomCorp in the year 3000.

Fwiw, CCC says this has averaged $70 over the past 12 months, hitting $90+ once in June for a few days.

Again, that's if you're into CCC.
