PSA: Be careful if you're scheduled to pickup on Friday. The activation timer may starts on Friday but the CS aren't availble on weekends, which means you only have whatever hours left on Friday to attempt cancelling the line.

Nothing to add about this deal, but I got this phone a couple months ago and I have to say it's the best phone I've ever used. My wife got a Iphone 16 pro max and the camera on the Pixel 9 pro XL puts it to shame - especially when zoomed in. And the battery is usually around 40% when I go to bed at night after heavy use all day.

So if you're on the fence about this phone, don't be - you'll love it!

Can I cancel the ATT line before picking up the phone? I can see my GV number in the ATT account and it seems it's already activated. I am waiting for my trade in device to arrive, hence cannot pickup as of now. Anyone please?

I don't know for sure if they are going to scan the phone when you pick up or they have already done it. If they have already done it, you can cancel but I don't know how you can determine that for sure. Having a line on the account with a number is a strong indication but I'm not sure.

Explained what i did in Easy Way:
  • Purchase the Phone:
    • Bought a 128GB Google Pixel Pro XL from Best Buy for $399.
    • Selected the pickup option for the phone.
  • Trade-In Process:
    • Traded in my locked iPhone 12 with Metro PCS for a $320 trade-in value.
    • After the trade-in deduction, I paid $84 (including tax) for the Google Pixel Pro XL.
  • Set Up Verizon:
    • Signed up with Verizon while keeping my existing google voice phone number.
    • Ported my number from Google Voice to Verizon.
  • Disconnect Verizon Service:
    • After picking up the phone, contacted Verizon through their website chat.
    • Informed Verizon to disconnect my service, and they complied.
    • Verizon confirmed that I don't owe anything and the phone is unlocked.
  • Reclaim Google Voice Number:
    • I will be able to reclaim my old number back to Google Voice.
Hope it will helps! If you have any questions feel free to ask.
how do you reclaim?

I helped my brother in law on this deal. Ordered the 128gb version online, store pickup, new Verizon customer, pick a new number (not a port-in), no trade-in. Got email notification this morning that order was ready for pickup. Went to Best Buy...picked up phone at the general online order pickup section (not cell phone section). Box had a Verizon SIM card taped to the box. Went home, turned on the phone...went thru the prompts...phone asked to connect to wifi, then insert SIM card...we did...phone activated a few seconds later. Test the phone to make sure it can receive calls and make calls. Took down the new phone number assigned. Called Verizon customer service. We asked to cancel service...customer service rep asked for the Verizon number associated with the this phone. Verified ID thru text message URL link they sent. Proceeded with the service cancelation. Got charged $7 and change for some sort of fee/tax. No charge for activation. Inserted US Mobile SIM card...tested calls/texting/data....all working. Setup the phone to migrate/move data from his old Oneplus 8T to the Pixel 9 Pro XL. Used the supplied USB-C cable to move data. Succeeded in a few minutes. To verify that the service has been terminated, I called his new Verizon number just a few minutes ago and a recording answered saying that the number is invalid and that service has been disconnected, etc. All went smoothly. Thanks so much OP for posting this awesome deal!!!

They are trained to mark it for disconnect at the end of billing cycle. You need to chat again to disconnect it right away.

and no, it does not take 48 hours, it's immediate.

I was going to ask this as well.
Just checked my Google Voice account and the number is there again, and I was able to make a call and use it.
I didn't do anything other than cancel the line with AT&T.

Ya I ripped the lady on the phone and she fixed it and now it shows disconnected and final bill of 0. Hopefully no future problems

Wish I had done more phones in hindsight since I have like 20 metro iPhones waiting to be traded into apple that probably would have had better use for this sale

I ordered on Sunday. Is that mean I have to pick up before Wednesday to avoid activation charge? And what happen if we dont pick up the item, will AT&T still charge me ?

YMMV I went to the local Best Buy to get price match of the promotion that expired last night but they couldn't do it so then I was like why not try my luck by calling them and they straight up just order me a unlocked pixel nine Pro XL for 399. Don't even have to activate or anything.

Curious...why did folks choose to port-in a GV number for this deal? I ordered online last night and did store pickup this morning...no port-in.

Just wondering - why did you activate the lines? I do not see anything that I have to activate them. I have the phone and the Sim card, but I plan on just tossing the Sim.

Was able to get the phone 256gb from the store yesterday along with a new att number. I traded in iPhone 13 and paid $26 including taxes.
I was also able to cancel my att service today using chat in 10 minutes without any issues. Customer service said i owe nothing on the number as I am cancelling it within a day.
Thankyou for posting this.

edit: Verizon cancellation with this phone, my experience. First Best Buy sore failed to offer any help getting the Verizon account set up. Claimed the receipt did not show new customer SIM. I struggled for hours verifying email and requesting PIN reset on both Android with the app and on the web. Then this morning another 2 hours with Philippines tech support. Eventually transferred to a supervisor: "Your app access only begins after 30 days" !!!! Lied: "No refund on activation fee" Lied: " Can't cancel until 30 days" I had to resort to raising my voice with the time-waster.

Verizon does everything possible to obstruct access to account number, pin and ability to cancel. Can't log in to Chat without PIN and account number. Access to phone support required having the new phone number activated to receive a link via text messaging. Finally obtained email confirmation mentioned cancellation but not the account or phone number. I then filed complaints with both FCC and with CA P.U.C. obstructing the customer's right to cancel.

Do this with everyone of these thieving lying wireless time-thieving carriers:
Document attempts to cancel the line, obtain CSR I.d. number and case number if you can. Then immediately file an online FCC mobile carrier complaint of obstructing your right to cancel or other illegal activity like cramming. Also file with the state regulator which in California is the P.U.C. Neither Verizon nor ATT will be able to claim that you failed to cancel within the 3 days allowed to waive the activation fee. Much better than wasting hours in chat or on hold should you face recalcitrance to terminate and cancel charges,
