I used my ID once and it never let me use it again for another deal, it seems the ID quota is only one.

3rd party verification with selfie and id upload required. Also requires a number port-in.

Reps to who can tell me the best way to get a new phone number to port in for this deal.

I don't plan on using the phone for actual cell service, so unlocking is not necessary. I just want a decent android device to use. Thanks in advance!

Update: I ordered a number for $5 from numberbarn, enabled SMS on it, then was able to port it to order this Motorola Edge for free + $55 the plan. Thanks FabulousStranger526!

I just chatted total support and they said if I enroll in $10 plan right now, my current plan will get cancelled. That will make my overall service plan less than 60 days.

Should I enroll to the 10$ plan in the day of my service cutoff or the day after my service cutoff?

Might want to try a different rep & verify because that's not what others have posted.

That's what a rep told me too. I just waited until my first plan expired, then signed up for the $10 plan the next day.

I bought the phone from Total Wireless back in February with one-month service, but the phone didn't get unlocked after 60 days. Just checked the unlock policy and called Total Wireless unlock department. Their policy says explicitly 60 days of continuous service is required to get device unlocked. I'm not sure if their policy changed recently or it's just me. But want to alert everyone about the possibility.

You might want to read the last few weeks of posts, policy was changed April 1.
The new policy does not say continuous service, it says 60 days paid service.
All of the recent Total Wireless and Straight Talk deals have more information.

unlock policy says "the cellphone is eligible for unlocking after paid Activation and 60 days of paid active service"
Does it mean we need to pay for 2 months?

So Total Wireless allows you to switch to the $10 calls/text only plan for 2nd month so that the Edge can be unlocked.

What about Straight Talk and the Moto G Power 2024s? Is there a $10 option with them?

I contacted Straight Talk twice via chat, and requested the $10 plan. The only $10 plan they would offer me was a 7 day plan including voice, text, and unlimited data.

The best you can do at ST, is ask for a discount on the $35 plan. They don't have a $10 30 day plan.

Hey Slickdeals community! Thanks to an SD member's FCC tip, I finally got my phone unlocked with Total Wireless after a month of frustration. My phone, activated in early January 2025, should've auto-unlocked under the old policy, but their new 60-day rule caused issues. Here's the short version!
  • The Problem: My phone was SIM-locked despite being eligible (activated pre-policy change). I requested unlocking multiple times before the new rule, but Total Wireless claimed it was a BYOD (false—I had my TW receipt) and tried applying the new policy retroactively.
  • FCC Saved the Day: After no progress, I filed an FCC complaint in April 2025. Total Wireless started emailing me fast. The rep tried to help but couldn't fix it initially, and I was losing hope with the endless back-and-forth.
  • The Fix: They finally admitted my phone should've been unlocked but the process failed. On May 6, 2025, they unlocked my SIM remotely—no code needed. Popped in another SIM, and it worked!

Has anyone been able to unlock it after reactivating with the $10 plan and completing the 60-day requirement?

I have 4 TW phones/lines, activated separately from 3/28 to 4/9. I've let the first 3 lines expire one by one. The 4th one is due today 5/10. I contacted TW by Chat and a rep renewed the 4th one with the $10 plan (due 6/9), $11.24 with tax. Then he reactivated the other 3 lines with the $10 plan, $11.24 each. That should get them unlocked in June.

Does anyone have the original unlock policy by Total Wireless before the policy change on April 1, 2025? Trying to get a copy of the original unlock policy so that it can be used while filing.
Any screenshot or PDF would be great! Thanks in advance.
