This used to be true, but it no longer is as of the M3 generation onward. They anodize the midnight color and it doesn't show fingerprints much at all anymore

I have a 15" M3 Air. It's been great so far, the one drawback being that I find the brightness to be underwhelming. I routinely max it out, and even then I find that I'd like it to be a little brighter.

Just fyi this is a refurbished model with no apple care 🤦 and you only get 15 day return window. Even amazons refurbished program gives you 90 days. I wouldn't trust this.
