I got one of these and wasn't impressed. Coffee always came out too watery. I then tried https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09YPZD...tle_1&th=1 and it was much better still can't make a large cup like I can with a plastic k-cup but makes a decent small cup.

thank you for sharing. There is definitely no "pressure" concept in k-cup system. Only variables you can control (based on models of course):
  1. coffee (if you prefer strong flavor, you have to drink medium to dark roast). What you can control as well is weight and grind size. These two are also very important.
  2. water volume (4oz, 6oz, 8oz etc, will be controlled precisely)
  3. temperature (level 1,2,3, will be controlled precisely)
  4. strength (level 1,2,3, I guess it is just the flow rate of the water, will be controlled precisely)

I don't think the filter will affect much. In your case, you can try dark roast coffee + fine size + fullly fill the filter. Sometimes it will be earthy though..
