PSA: Looks like total wireless changed the policy from 60 days after activation to 60 days of active service. This went in to effect April 1st 2025.

Good phone and good deal.

The a35 is good, and is likely the last of the "good" Samsung a-series phones with an SD slot. The a36 and a56 don't have them.

I got the previous (nearly identical) a54 deal and was very happy with it. The two phones are architecturally almost identical (same processors and ram). It's not a speed demon, but is fast enough to do all "normal" stuff, like social media, email, phone, etc... without any real performance problems. Maybe a gamer would be disappointed with it, and it will be getting OneUI 7 very, very soon.

Wow.

Porting in a number is a hassle -- if you don't already have a phone number.

The whole ID verification is just...how do the kids say it nowadays...."totes wack".

No idea how they're storing your image and credentials -- or who has access to them -- or what the process is for them to expunge that data -- or who is ensuring they're following best practices.

Oh who am I kidding, your DL and image are being sold to the highest bidder. We all know that.

My auto pay for my second month of service for my a35 is going to hit in a few days for $55. Should I switch to the $40 plan for my second month to save money? Have people been able to switch for a cheaper price than $40 for second month by calling in? I never got my Disney Plus for my iPhone 13 that came with 3 months of service. Is this A35 supposed to come with disney? They texted my a35 a link for Disney but the link doesn't work. I need to call Total Wireless and figure out why they're charging me twice as much as they should be for my next bill date

FYI, I terminated my service on Mar 20 after one month of use. I checked again today and surprisingly, my number was still kept with the Total Wireless account so I called and re-activated my number on the $10 plan. CS told me I'll be able to unlock the phone once I have a service for another 30 days.
Thanks for the info, and repped.

Did you call CS for the $10 plan? If so, how did you pay them, I don't want to give them my credit card info over the phone, so I wonder if there is a better way to switch to the $10 plan. Thanks!

Quick question, maybe someone knows an answer. I activated the "TW 1 Line Stay Connected" plan for $10 + tax with the Customer Support on April 28th. Under my account it mentions that "My Usage, Your plan includes unlimited data access", but no other information about it and how much high speed data.
I have already used a bit more than 1 GB, including hotspot tethering.
Is it normal? I thought this plan is talk&text only. There is literally no information anywhere about this plan's details.

Yes, call over the phone, pay with CC. comes out to be $11.xx with tax. If you don't want to give CC number, use a one-time CC or suck it up and pay $30+.

I Also successfully changed my plan for second month to $10 talk and text only plan. They had my credit card on file and only asked me for the last four digits of my credit card. The problem is I changed my plan while there was still 3 days left in my current plan and they changed the plan right away rather than wait until my next month of service so now I'm told I'll have to pay for a third month of service which will be a second $10 charge in order to phone to unlock. So I advise any to wait until your last day of service before calling in to change your plan for second month. Also don't call from the phone that you're changing the plan on because the service was cut off mid conversation and I had to turn the phone off and turn it back on before service was restored. I wonder if I pay for my third month of service due on June 7th right now on website if my A35 will unlock right away? I had to call Total Wireless anyways because they were trying to charge me $100 in a couple days for some reason. at least my TW due now is only $10 and it's due in June instead of $100 due in may. I think their system screwed up and was trying to double Bill me

$10 plan was not available on website for me I had to get it on the phone. But if you read my experience two post above , I recommend waiting until the last day of service on your first month before changing your plan

I'm also on this $10 plan and mobile data still works fast. My 30 day first month ends in a couple days, I'll report back if my mobile data slows or stops after that

Unless you need microSD card slot, better off getting the A36. Same price although the A35 reports to have a better camera, the A36 improvements include thinner bezel, larger screen, brighter display and extra 2 years of updates

I opened up a new account with family member ID and placed orders for four more phones. Same billing and shipping address as first account and use the same credit card on both accounts. Hopefully they don't cancel my orders. Ordered one a36, 1 RZR 2025, and two iPhone 13s. Anyone know if I can cancel my A36 order and still be able to create a new order so I can still get my Four discounted devices on my account? I think I'd rather get a second 2025 razor instead of A36. Either that or cancel the other three and get four A36.

They usually don't cancel, they ship & you have to either refuse or return order - and they usually don't refund service plans either (it's mentioned in the fine print on website). You might be better off if they cancel & you can start over.
