Okay, I just heard a dad say the dumbest thing on this show I just found - "Toddlers and Tiaras". He said something along the lines of "I consider chiropracter adjustments to be a large part of a normal healthy life, like pagentry..."

EEK!

Um... yeah. I'm not so sure that I've seen so much "normal" and "healthy" in the last 5 minutes...

I just caught a few minutes of it. Makes me want to vomit I can't believe people really do that to their kids! shake head I just don't get it!

Ugh... I'm getting a horrible headache.

DD is a bit whiny today. She keeps saying her knee hurts, but I don't see anything wrong with it - not even a bruise. She's been complaining of knee pain off and on for a little while now - but each time it doesn't look swollen, bumped, bruised, nuffin. She usually loves to go outside, but she came back in crying after a few minutes. I just gave her some ice to put on it and a little ibuprophen. Not sure what else to do since it really doesn't look injured. Could it be growing pains? Is that normal at 2 1/2??

Back from the doctor. DD has a UTI, so just some antibiotics. They used the doppler on her for the first time today. She went in hurting, and scared. Once the doctor re-assured her and let her hear the baby's heartbeat she cried, so of course I cried, and then the doctor's voice started cracking and I thought, geesh, here we go laugh out loud

It is indescribable though, watching your child prepare to have a child, and knowing that she already loves this baby she has never seen. /end sappy story

Then, we stopped by KM to get her prescription filled, found some peelies and tearpads while we waited. Then.....off to PapaJohns for dinner Licklips

That reminds me... been meaning to ask in here if anyone has had any experience with T optical - I've only heard bad stories (wrong lense(s) on a pair of glasses over and over, T trying to force someone to pay for the wrong pair of glasses, wrong prescriptions given for contacts, etc)... I'm scared to hit the one nearest me laugh out loud

dernded hormones...

I don't have any experience with T optical, though I've been wondering too. They don't take our optical insurance though - but you never know when you need an emergency pair or sumpin'.

*still* watching toddlers and tiaras... bizarre show.

Okay... they are plucking toddler's eyebrows, putting ginormous wigs on them, giving them mani/pedi's, facials, and SPRAY FREAKING TANS!!!

And there are babies doing the pagents!!! The one mom says her daughter has been doing pageants since she was 5 weeks. EEK!

And I'm shocked at the dads that are involved. My DH would NOT be excited if I came home and said "hey, lets put our girls in pageants" - let alone to even agree to participate!! Goodness, some of these kids are dancing, shaking, and prancing around in ways I'm not sure I'd do if I was 21 and totally drunk for the first time! My hubby would Blowup if his girls were doing that!!

I must be super duper conservative or sumpin!

LOL... that was my exact thought!

on another totally TMI note... the whole 24 hour urine collection thing is interesting. I never paid attention to my patterns before... and the volume is fascinating. Somehow, I thought there'd actually be more since I feel like I go 427 times a day.

What a sweet sentiment. I know you both are so excited. So glad it was something minor. hug

Trying to get ready for our garage sale this weekend. It is the date for our neighborhood-wide sales and is usually a big payday for me. There is a 50% chance of rain and I am just not motivated to sort and price everything.
