On another note, has anyone had the $5/2 Benadryl et al do strange things?
It's coded as $5/1 and some stores apparently have an update that will auto-adjust the coupon to the price of the item. Lovely in some ways because of less beeps - not so lovely when you are trying to get the coupon to actually attach to the 2 items like you want! *sigh*

Well... I stopped at JCP today. Oldest DD wanted to look for a couple of things and I wanted to look for white T's for DH. I totally forgot how much I LOVE shopping at that store. I so wish I had like 90 of the $10 coupons - I could've wiped out the infant/toddler section. They had some of the most adorable spring dresses and outfits, and I found matching ones in 12 mo and 4t sizes - that would be perfect for my 2 youngest next year!! Oh, if only i had some extra cash - I could totally out fit the kids for next spring/summer. Lots of great prices on clothes - shirts/skirts for $3.XX, dresses and outfits for $6.XX. And cute cute cute.

I peeked at the maternity section - which was kind of a joke because it contained about 4 racks. I am going to the JCP (God willing) in the mall this weekend - which should be larger, so hopefully there will be more of a selection. I saw the some marked down t's, but they didn't have any in the tall size. I was bummed. I hope they have 'em at the mall. I can't believe what they are at regular price ($26 for 3 t-shirts!!!)

It was fun, but we used all my shopping time up perusing JCP. I had to pass by Target with a longing look... *sigh* I guess there's tomorrow.

I checked my calendar tonight and realized my doc appt. is for Friday - not Thursday. Sadwalk Ugh. Another day of waiting. I am becoming impatient in my old(er) age. And I'm getting annoyed at the itching again. It had eased up for a few days and was not too bad - but it's back again with vengeance tonight. GRRR.

You might have the update where Qs adjust to price of items. Like those using $1 tide Qs on the .97 trial sizes, it's adjusting down to .97 without beeps at some stores. And as Qs can only be coded for $5/1..... *sigh* What a shitty update for everyone but AFCers Coverlaugh

Yep, yep. These kiddos won't get a lot of college choices! Speaking of which, I'm totally ready for football season already!

I don't think you are wrong! I would have been pissed too!!

I use wish lists all the time for my entire family! My in laws never know what to get us and they totally appreciate our constantly updated Amazon Wish Lists!!! nod I only give the lists to ppl that ask for it, I never assume that someone should get me something off of it, kwim.
Ok, glad I wasn't just over reacting. And thanks for the info on the wish list thing. Maybe I'll start doing that for birthdays and stuff.

Sadwalk I used to be a paperboy.....errrr girl. Girly

That was 5-10 yrs. ago....wish I would have kept that job, have thought about doing it again just for the money and any leftover q's and because my job options are limited but with all of the crazy stuff that happens in our society today I'm not sure I would like being out in the dark between 4-6 AM with all the crazies.

Our router decided that it wanted a summer vaca I guessInsane
Oh man - growing up, my dad had a second job as a newspaper guy. For years, he would let us kids help him out to earn our own little spending money. That meant getting up at 3 (his route had 500 papers) and the route lasted a good 2-3 hours. And we had to work, not just sit there. Once you got used to it, it wasn't too bad. And I was very good, actually the preferred kid when it was rainy or whatever because I was very fast and accurate. Mainly because I was scared stiff of my dad hollering at me 'cause I dropped a paper or took too long. laugh out loud

[QUOTE=whimseys;30289188]Very silly. I seriously questioned whether someone stole everything out of mine!

I am lucky enough to have a friend that delivers the paper and she drops all her extra inserts in my driveway every Sunday morning. I had ordered 20 on ebay and then got 70 inserts. Cool

Excellent suggestions! Thank you! I will definitely start reading up. I have a RA right across the highway from me, so there's no reason NOT to do them, and I have heard about lots of good deals there. Woohoo!

Check the RA free mouse pad thread for my receipt from my last trip - .01! LMAO One mouse pad, five tubs of wipes, one Gatorade, and a lollipop for DS. Kind of miscalculated a bit.
Oh, I so remember those days of my dad bringing home all the leftovers. My mom would dutifully clip all the coupons, but ONLY the ones she knew she would use. Took me a long time to break myself of that habit. Big Grin

And I will definitely check out that thread!!

I think she's referring to the tendency of AFCers to rigidly follow every single letter of the law ... er, coupon. And you get banned for life if you even so much as suggest using a coupon not in the exact way spelled out on the coupon. At least, that's what I got. Big Grin

OMFG I would LOVE your friend too Wink I hear you about son's... my son is the same way... today he was standing in the post office... screaming don't hurt me when I told him to STOP running around... I was no where near him.. the guy behind the counter looked at me like I beat him BOYS I tell you!!
I love her too. Gave her Weber seasonings last week and Air Wicks this week. I totally believe in kickbacks. Big Grin

That's something my son would do too. The new thing is to throw his hands up over his face and act scared in public - like I beat him every day! Makes me feel better that it's the age/stage. When the kindergarteners come out of school it's like releasing the demons. Makes me need more retail therapy! Wink

I still find myself doing that when I get toward the end of my pile. Then I'll remember all the clearanced stuff I could have gotten free and thrown in my garage sale and it renews my energy for cutting! Actually got a blister on my index finger from the scissors this week. laugh out loud

Boys aren't the only ones who do that. My SIL told her daughter (about 5/6ish) to quit acting up in public one day and she threw her hands up over her head and yelled multiple times "don't beat me, don't beat me!!!"

and I can tell you - those kids aren't "beaten" in any way... even when they probably should be!!

Also the AFC peeps just love going into Target with 10 or 20 $1 coupons for trial items that are under $1. Since the coupon doesn't exclude trial sizes, they push it. I'd rather be beepless and take advantage of the other way of shopping. LMAO

I used to always get the $10/10 JCP mailers, haven't got one in a few years now. Guess I dropped off their list. Used to have their CC, but quit using it, so they have probably deactivated it.

Sheesh - who wants a lot of trials laying around when there's great full-sized deals to be had!!

I had a stint where I didn't get q's for a couple of years, then I ordered something online and had it sent to the store for pickup - so I've been getting them again. *shrug* Maybe worth ordering something to see.

I can't believe they were such bum-hats - I'd be PO'd too! Now in addition to complaining to corporate, I might or might not (Whistling) go back in again and create a baby registry to get the GC. You shouldn't have to do it, but crappy treatment would just make me more determined to get the darned thing.

Quote from mama2cole :
You're going to let them GO AWAY to college? laugh out loud No way Jose, home town schools and living at home for all my kiddos! Teehee
Ohhhhh, I guess I wasn't totally clear... by "go away" I simply mean that I'd let them drive the 10 minutes from home to campus by themselves. LMAO

Seriously, if I could microchip those kids and be able to GPS locate them, I'd do it! nod

I fondly remember my first 5 minutes of couponing when I thought that was fun. Now, not so much...

I actually love those kind of couponers... they give cashiers stories to tell me about "those crazy ladies who come in and try to mis-use coupons for trial size items". Cashiers always tell me how "difficult" those ladies are and how they appreciate the fact that my coupons are beepless because I'm using them correctly. Like the rest of you, I'm a giver! nod

WOW - you guys are are talented!!! I don't think I can add anything to what I am doing ... certainly not texting or online stuff while keeping the kids corralled, not dropping the list/coupons, getting the right items ... etc LOL

Quote from mama2cole :
I have a quandary for you guys. I got a mailer from TRU/BRU a few weeks ago and on the back was a coupon that states "receive a $20 GC whey you register at any TRU or BRU store".
That is ridiculous!!! You should have gotten the GC .. you might want to call back & speak to a manager & just let them know that their position costs them $$ as your kiddos will get their prezzies from elsewhere .... and so will others kiddos who don't like the way you were treated. I am sorry!

Oh no - don't start that again!!! You make me hungry all the time!!! And I have no excuse!

I am personally keeping dentists in business -- had to take my poor lil Miss M tonight for an emergency check --- she smashed her face down and knocked her two front teeth loose (one of them is now higher and angled badly) -- she took out two HUGE chunks of her lip and there was blood everywhere. My lil guy went to hide as he couldn't stand the blood. Anyway the dentist checked them and said we will watch them over the week - they might have to be pulled if the trauma was too much ... he can't tell yet if the teeth are saveable. SIGH! She is finally asleep --- she wouldn't take any tylenol or ibuprofen. Frown
