The picture is right there on the coupons.
Ask them, if it's not the starter kit, why does it have refills?

I had invited her and her son to go to the movies with us this weekend. She would have to buy her own ticket but the child's ticket and part of concessions are paid courtesy of Kellogg's and Disney. Is it wrong for me to feel hurt by the comments? I surely wouldn't go into someone's home and criticize them for anything.
Went to my used to be favorite T. Took my last SB GC toupon with me. Spent almost an hour rounding up a cart full. Went up to the register and was informed that the bottle with the sprayer top was neither a starter kit nor the extend-a-clean. So I said, "Seriosly? I've bought this exact same thing using this exact same coupon in this very store several times." So dingbat goes and asks another cashier. Ugh. She said she wouldn't take it. So I told her to have a nice day putting all my stuff back on the shelves. Went to another T. They were out of SB.
Went to use my sb $5gc q's and was told only 1 per transaction was allowed. Tried to read the coupon to them and tell them their own policy but was shut down by gstl and told that is there policy and so be it. Then he went through my bags and told me that they limit to family size quatities. I was buying 8, which is a lot for some people but not my house, but don't start making things up andpull shit out your ass because I am standing my ground.
Finally said that I would do 8 sep transactions after snide remarks. The person checking me out ended up doing them all on one transaction and guess what, they all scanned no beeps.
Came home flaming, mad not gay, and called corporate who were more than helpful giving me a $10 gc for my trouble. I told the lady that I have 3 bathrooms and that product only lasts for one cleaning in my house! God knows I wouldn't actually spend money on this product with how much I have to use but hey when I am making money I'll clean with q-tips if they are free!
In any case, the store manager can limit quantities according to stock on hand or demand. He/she is probably ensuring there is enough stock for every customer. Now, if they denied a coupon for the right product or just flat out refused to take a coupon then thats a different story. But thats just my 2 cents.

As for shooting myself in the foot, corporate agreed with me! They can't make their own policy on how many q's they are going to accept. If it scans and is accepted they have to keep their mouth shut! Their own policy states that if the register accepts a coupon than it is legitimate and useable.
I used legitimate coupons correctly, that's all that matters.
Stores have the right to limit quantities purchased, not how many you can purchase with coupons!
The Archer Farms brownie overload mix was clearance to 50% off here, so $1.48. Puts Betty Crocker to shame imo.

eta: and all the other celebrants! Wow, didn't see that there were so many anniversary's in here today.
eta How do you handle people that criticize your stockpile? An acquintance was at my house Sunday, I watched her son while she did some errands. When she came back, I offered her some of my 8 yr old son's outgrown clothing (I can imagine how hard it is to be a single mom). After giving her 3 bags of clothing, including 20 pairs of Gymboree pants and shorts (some with tags still on them), more than 10 shirts etc, she commented that I need to have someone from "one of those TV shows" clean up my basement, and donate all that stuff to Goodwill etc. Excuse the heck out of me. I donate 100s of lbs of food to the food bank every year, an equal amount of stuff to the domestic violence shelter, boxes of new toys to Toys for Tots, as well as finding people I meet that could use some help, and give them the gently used kids clothing that in the past I would have sold on eBay. To be told I needed one of those clutter experts to "help" me. I wasn't expecting that.

Come to find out, she talked with one of my sisters that day or the next about how "Laurie has a problem, doesn't she? Stocking up all that junk!" and on and on. That hurt my feelings AND made me mad, because she had helped herself to lots of stuff, stuff I could have resold (and we were HURTING for money at that point), and then talked about me behind my back to my sisters. I've gotten over it, and I still give her stuff, because I know she and my dad can use it, but its always in the back of my mind that she thinks less of me somehow. However, I will say that she has definitely come to see the value of my "hobby" when I tell her how much I made at a yard sale, or how much I was able to donate, and she understands that me shopping this way helps me be able to stay at home with my kids. The reality is that hubby and I live in a ridiculously expensive area, and after health insurance and rent, there's not a lot left over. I could either sit and whine about it, or I could do something. I choose to do something.
I don't think I'd be 'donating' to her anymore after this.
.teri. you have any more of these luscious young men hiding on your hard drive?
Who's next for a Birthday or Anniversary or hell, let's make up an occasion for more of this

Freudian slip?
Sorry... I know all too well how that feels.. I give TONS of stuff to my IL's and my BIL will come over and take all of the extra things we are willing to give away but then will tell everyone how we waste money...etc... etc... ERRR then my DH does not understand why I don't want to give them stuff... then I get told how I SHOULD buy stuff for x and x.. because I SHOULD and it SHOULDN'T be my CHOICE... WHATEVER!! LOL Sorry!! We live in an expensive area too so I know what you mean... our suburb is considered the wealthiest in NY... so house cost is CRAZY and everything else... so I choose to be able to make sure we have everything we need and then some... people LOL

Then, stopped by a Publix to get sour cream to make my blackberry pound cake. Saw a big fat tearpad - Save $.50 off any Annie's Homegrown or Annie's Naturals products. Almost wetted my pants. This week at Kroger, Annie's Homegrown Mac n' Cheese is on sale for $1. The MQ doubled to $1 means freebies! Took 1/3 of the tearpad and skipped all the way to the register to pay for my sour cream. While I was checking out, I saw the expiration date - 5/30/2010.
Today was my day to find kick-ass EXPIRED tearpads.
