iOS App Redesign

I'm sure I'll get used to the look of the app redesign eventually, but unless I'm missing something, there's nothing labeling new posts as "new" anymore. So now I don't know if I've seen everything that's been posted since the last time I opened the app.

I agree that the app redesign isn't that nice, it honestly is a downgrade. It's simpler but the spacing is so bad everything is too large, and I have to click to load more comments and there is a whole bunch of spinners on the screen. I don't think I will use the App as much as I used to as the UX of the re-design isn't that user friendly. I'm surprised they rolled this out, I am wondering if they got any feedback or beta testing before rolling it out..

I 100% agree, in fact I find I'm using/checking the app much less since the redesign.

Fully agree with the sentiment here. I'm generally avoiding the app right now. It's just not a good experience at all.

YES. I just realized I have been getting spinners very often too. Some hang and some load slowly. I hope Slickdeals staff is monitoring and taking notes.

If that was the case they would revert back to the old app or give users the option to choose. On the old app can't stand the new one

I am just so disappointed with this update and I wish I never let it update. The UX is a slog. Why make it so hard to view comments and make it so clunky overall? After almost 20 years of using SD daily, this app may very well cure my addiction to this site.
