I'd spend a couple bucks more for Lavazza Super Crema which is also on sale. Prefer that flavor over this.

oh the coffee snobs are here
I am far from a coffee snob - I buy plenty of of other Lavazza types - and even I hated this coffee.

You mean like Folger's?
LOL. Nah - just grinding the beans and using them in my coffee maker for a traditional cup of java. Not looking to make an expresso or anything else.

I did not like this as regular coffee. Too much of a "burnt" taste for my liking.
Thanks for the insight.

same here, Ninja drip coffee maker and I finally got a decent grinder off Woot. Those little handheld ones don't cut it.

I forget to check the dates, now looks like my last bag was 1/25.. probably not good but I'm not all that fussy.

I agree that the difference in taste is enormous, but there's also a price difference. I wondered if there are some people who care about their espresso taste but also would consider something like this or Costco beans.
Yes these are ok, 10x better than burnt Starbucks

I use these for making milk drinks, and they work well enough.

I completely understand that any food product is subjective in preference. Personally, I don't like "floral" or "fruit" flavors in my coffee.

Yes, they work reasonably well in milk drinks. Not so much as drip coffee, at least for me.

Decent price - sometimes these are closer to $10 for the 2.2lb bag which is a "slicker deal."
I personally don't mind Lavazza brand; I'm not a coffee snob and can only really differentiate between terrible/bad coffee and not terrible/bad coffee -- I use these in my philips espresso machine with for lattes everyday and they work just fine.

Unfortunately Costco doesn't sell espresso beans, and there is a difference in the beans you need to use when making espresso drinks vs. regular drip coffee.

I've sometimes seen Lavazza sold at grocery outlet for some really good prices, but unfortunately those are already ground.

That is actually pretty good. The best by date is likely a year or more out. Don't forget it is made in Italy and is shipped by cargo ship. All the bricks of coffee I get are always vacuum sealed. Even the bags are sealed well.
