Really tough to read all the bad experiences going on as I'm nearing my 60 days beginning of July. I just checked my history and it still is showing out for delivery even though I already received and activated with a SIM card. Red flag.
I had the "out for delivery" too. Day 67 today. No luck yet.

Never thought about this. Mine still shows ordered with no tracking number, and I'm approaching 60 days.

Wonder if their tech team is stuck on this. I'm a programmer, but know nothing about the back end of these phone hardware. If it's as easy as flipping a bit on their end, it should have been done by now. If it's local on the device, may be tougher for them to achieve.
*Pure speculation from someone who doesn't understand these device firmware.

I've contributed code to Android. It is one API call for them. they seem to think that giving us the runaround is buying them something and I'm not sure what it is

It bought them another month of service out of me, unfortunately. I had no choice with no spare device.

My 60 days haven't passed yet, but I really hope this doesn't become another Straight Talk unlock drama.

my phone seems like it might have silently unlocked this morning; the oem unlock text has switched to "Connect to the Internet or contact your carrier". haven't gotten a chance to put a different SIM into it but it seems like something is happening!

Same for me. I rebooted my 9a some time back and now the Developer Options OEM text changed to "Connect to the internet or contact your carrier". I inserted my Tmobile sim and it worked fine. Tried rebooting the phone with Tmobile sim and the unlock status holds. I haven't received any response yet from Visible for the service ticket I had created for unlock.

This is great news. Mine also changed to connect to internet or contact your carrier. Wondering if anyone has tried with an e-SIM, specifically t-mobile? I will be trying tonight.

i think mine magically unlocked overnight too. they said they were escalating my issue the other day but no actual reply from them yet. but the phone no longer says "SIM is not supported". i have an expired MINT sim in the phone that said "SIM not supported" the other day but now that error notice is gone. i will stick an active MINT sim in soon.

EDIT UPDATE: i went to developer options and checked "OEM Unlocking" and it is still grayed out, which supposedly means the phone is still locked to a carrier. but as mentioned above, it doesnt give me the "SIM not supported" any more. so i am not sure. will have to just stick an active SIM in soon and see if texting works.

Mine finally accepts the other sim. Appears unlocked outside of the oem unlocking.
Not sure if that is a quirk of previously carrier locked phones or not.

Mine unlocked too. There is a Pixel 9 on sale, wondering if that is better in terms of value or this. Automatically unlocks after 12 months with no plan: https://slickdeals.net/f/18401251-us-mobile-128gb-google-pixel-9-smartphone-3-months-unlimited-starter-plan-324-free-shipping
