They charged me the second month despite having the auto pay off. They got nasty on the phone so I filled out a FCC complaint. Money refunded the next day.

Don't count on any of the consumer protection agencies for too long. Time will tell.

That's good that there are still workers at the FCC to help out.

Scary stuff that once you hand out CC, these companies can keep charging you whatever without your approval.
Previously I thought paying by Paypal would prevent unwanted charges. Had them on a small plan, then they changed it to auto renewal and somehow passed charges thru PP without my ever authorizing each month. I think they got by because they sent an email purchase notification and I let it go for a while before switching. Not the most reputable company to deal with.

In your opinion is this the best service to have for low use? I want a cheap active line for when friends visit from overseas. I currently have an xfinity line where the two year cheap rate has expired. Is this op plan only 7$ a month with rollover minutes? Any advice appreciated. Ty thumbs 👍
$6.19 with taxes for 100 minutes and 1 GB. is what I have each month. I manually roll over to accumulate minutes and data. The renewal is every 30 days. Not once a month. To get 30 days, you have to renew midnight to 6 am the day of automatic renewal. Otherwise, you lose a day.

Not loving this next billing date being a month from today with the 3 month plan. I hope I'm not charged again in May.
Does it say you will be billed $0 on the renewal date? I suspect it's still renews monthly to reset your 35GB of high speed data. We have a line from the last deal that was $15 per month for the first three months and it correctly shows the next billing amount, but I realize your situation is different.

Ah! I didn't see the 0 dollar charge listed until checking again. Looks like I won't be billed so I suspect you are correct about the data resetting, etc. thanks!

Sadly there's not going to be a lot of repping, due to bots and the left, but let's be clear I agree with your statement. Growing pains will be there, but it's looking up. Honestly if my job disappeared due to FWA reform, as a Medicare sales agent, I'd be happy if it meant the system was simplified and easier to understand. MAHA for that matter.
We have all become very political. It is quite surprising to see how far people will go to win political points. People are willing to take large financial hits if it means they score a few political points.

This is depressing.

Just my two cents as a customer since 2017.

Not a big user (2GB data + 100 minutes for $7/month)

Fairly pleased over the years. No issues porting over phones / upgrading to new phones. Unless I'm in the absolute boonies, service has been good. The only thing I don't care for (and it's very minor) is manually renewing my plan a day before it auto-renews, so my data and minutes roll over (Tello can notify you 48 hours in advance and takes 60 seconds).
Is $7 after Tax/fees ? how much total ? I'm looking for a cheap phone plan.

I said this before in this thread, but it seems like it is worth repeating. Tello does not have an option to toggle on/off autopay. If you do not want to be charged for the next month, you need to actively cancel your plan. After cancelling, you can still use the remaining time you have paid for.
For those that want to do the three month plan in this deal but not continue on a Tello plan, wait until the third month to cancel because it appears it renews monthly even though you pay up front.

I had nothing but issues w/Tello and got out after 1month of almost no service as they did their 4g to 5g migration or whatever they were doing.

Customer service was not helpful, very frustrating to have to submit countless logs and get nowhere.

Use Virtual Numbers. I can limit the max amount per change and expire the card at anytime with Citi Bank.

If the data only plan is chosen, is the esim free? I get charged $3 for esim with data only plan.
