Castrol Edge Extended Performance 5W-30 Advanced Full Synthetic Motor Oil, 5 Quart for $25.97 or $23.37 w/10% S&S.

Normal price is $33.99

IMHO this is the best oil period.

Says it's good for 25,000 miles, but I still change based on manufacturer's recommendations.

Better than Mobil 1? May I ask why you think this is the best? Tia

It's hard to tell. They are both excellent oils. Here's a comparison with Amsoil. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=ElhLXtmI268

I think so, but I would use Mobil 1 if I couldn't find this exact oil. Here's a comparison with Amsoilhttps://m.youtube.com/watch?v=ElhLXtmI268

This Meets ILSAC GF-6.
Recent Mobile 1 deals were to a lower standard

I liked "extended performance" oils for older vehicles that might not get as many miles in a year. My truck does just under 3,000 miles a year so I give it a once a year oil change with something like this.

What makes them think (Castrol) their oil worth more than similar brand name oils at $22–$26 price range - everyday price w/o sale? My car had no "complaints " while running on PP, Mobile 1 and Valvoline.
$38 regular price? They must be kidding…

all I know Castrol is the standard in Toyota cars from 2000-2010. Not sure what they use nowadays.

I think their "synthetic" oils are the same as everyone's else nowadays group 3 base oils - made from crude oil (PP exception), nothing special with few variations of additive pack. Does Castrol use superior additives in their oils if compared to other major brands such as Pennzoil / Mobile 1 / Valvoline ? I don't think so.
