I have a similar system (probably an earlier model by the same company judging by the base unit design). I was happily surprised by it. The vacuum is pretty quiet and it works well on soft fur. I don't have a dog with thicker fur, but it should be OK on that as well. much less messy and itchy affair when I trim the dogs. I had previously been just using scissors.
