Upon checking with customer support online, this does require 60 days of uninterrupted service to get unlocked. Also for someone who already has a line active, adding a new line can get the $60 plan for $40 or lower (with auto pay).

Also. embracing for the time machine jokes, I still think 16e 128gb at $299 for the phone, was a better deal and might come back - far superior processor, 8gb ram, Apple AI support, longer os update support, convenient usb-c port instead of lightning etc. These far outweigh the potential advantages from 14 plus - 256gb, dual camera, magsafe, larger screen size etc for me.
Not true for everyone/every use case, agreed. YMMV

Is this something where you can get the device, pay a month, and then bail? And if so, could the phone be unlocked? (Sorry, if this is an ignorant question, I'm a noob.)

Yeah, the policy changes since April 1st has caused a lot of confusion. I purchased the 16e precisely on April 1 and despite the policy changes being published after I bought and they are not the same for Verizon prepaid as for mnvos, I am still going to recharge another month for my 16e, given it will need me to pay ($60 - $25 monthly discount on 16e deal - $10 from auto pay = $25) only. If I don't pay for the 2nd month and Verizon refuses to unlock in lack of 60 days of service, then worst case, I will have to pay for another consecutive 60 days at a much higher rate since I will loose the $25 discount. So, for $25+tax more, I am willing to pay to avoid any such risk.
YMMV

Hi,

I'm interested in this Verizon Prepaid iPhone 14 Plus deal, but since I was already planning on moving a cellphone line of service from my ATT account to a brand new second line (Unlimited tier plan) on my current Verizon Prepaid account I'm wondering if anyone has had any success with getting the additional Verizon Prepaid iPhone 14 plus deal that's being offered through May 20th or while supplies last?

The main deal I'm interested in is this one:

"iPhone 14 Plus As low as $49.99 Get iPhone 14 Plus starting at $249.99 and receive $200 total service credits over 10 months on any new Verizon Prepaid Unlimited phone plan."
The deal can be found here: https://www.verizon.com/deals/prepaid/

I'm trying to double check if my adding on a new Verizon Prepaid Unlimited phone plan as a 2nd line to my current Verizon Prepaid phone plan would allow my Verizon Prepaid account's new 2nd line to qualify for the Prepaid iPhone 14 Plus phone deal where if the phone number is still active for 2+ months I can get an additional $20 off/month reduction in my phone bill for 10 months, so my iPhone 14 Plus would ultimately be either $49.99 + taxes and fees (for the 256gb) or $99.99 + taxes and fees (for the 512gb) after those 10 months of reductions?

I was planning on adding a 2nd line to my Verizon Prepaid account anyway (not planning on transferring out the 2nd line for a long time), so I thought that I might as well see about if it's possible for me to get an iPhone 14 Plus for $49.99 or $99.99 + taxes and fees with this deal.

In the terms and conditions area for this deal (i) it says:

"Get iPhone 14 Plus for as low as $49.99
Offer ends 05/20/25 or while supplies last. Taxes and fees apply.
Activation on a new Verizon Prepaid Unlimited phone plan required.
iPhone 14 Plus (256 GB) for $249.99 due at purchase; iPhone 14 Plus (512 GB) for $299.99 due at purchase.
$20/mo service credit applied to account owner's line over 10 months.
Service credit begins on your second month redemption,
line must remain active to receive all credits.
Available at verizon.com/prepaid.
Limit one device per account."

Would my adding on a new 2nd line that's on the Verizon Prepaid Unlimited tier to my current Verizon Prepaid account qualify for this deal regarding this part of the terms & conditions:
"Activation on a new Verizon Prepaid Unlimited phone plan required."?

I mean it says a NEW PHONE PLAN not a NEW ACCOUNT, so I'm hoping that adding a new 2nd line phone plan to my current Verizon Prepaid account would qualify me for this sale.
What do you guys think?

Adding a new 2nd line to my current account seems to activate the $20 off/month multiline discount where the 2nd line's monthly cost would go down to $30/month ($60 unlimited plan - $10 autopay discount - $20 multiline discount = $30/month service plan).
If I do get the additional $20 off/month (for up to 10 months) it looks like my monthly cellphone service on my 2nd prepaid line would be $10/month for those 10 months.

Does that look correct, or am I possibly missing something?

When I tried to reach out to Verizon chat yesterday (with screenshots taken of everything), for some reason, the sales customer service representative could only see the iPhone 14 Plus in 128gb on their system which is NOT one of the ones on sale; so any information I got from them is definitely suspect.

Hence, I thought that I'd reach out here and enquire if anyone successfully did this $49.99/$99.99 + taxes and fees Verizon Prepaid iPhone 14 Plus deal by adding a brand new line onto their current Verizon Prepaid account?

Thanks for any input! I really appreciate it!

one account, verizon applied discount for other two lines, 1st -$60/month, 2nd and 3rd $40/month, I setup auto pay, and it shows $110 for 3 lines. my last account with Verizon was 3-4 years ago. Originally I was asking the same question - can I combine multiple lines. but I saw page#1 saying it is doable...

Payment information
-------------------------
Payment type: VISA
XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-xx
$1066.94

AutoPay: $110 on each month

If you read up a couple of posts above yours, you will see that someone did order with an existing Verizon Prepaid account.

Same exact thing happened to me, they've already considered my "next month of service" as the 16th even though the phone arrived the 1st, so I guess that first "month" of service was actually 15 days lol... wild.

I however, did not pay for a second month of service as I don't need the phone to unlock immediately (we are now using it on a Verizon post-paid plan). Hopefully it still unlocks after 60d, but ehhh we'll see!

Unfortunately not, Autopay discounts do not kick in until after the first month of service. The only other way to get this discounted is to have already been a Verizon prepaid customer, which entitles you to the "Multi-Line" discount, bringing it down from $60 to $40 for the first month, and $30/mo thereafter. You're stuck with the $60 unless you meet that criteria, as far as I'm aware.
Question - can I lower my plan after 1st month? I ordered 3 new lines&phones.

Makes sense in your case, and your case probably doesn't apply to most of the people trying to get this deal. My hypothesis is, though, that this asking for ID/address happened only part of the way through this deal.

What do you plan to do with your iPhone 14 Plus? If you ported out, I imagine you are going to have a wifi only device for the next 60 days. Let it unlock then resell?
TL;DR - No intention of selling it, my wife is on a postpaid Verizon account with her family, it transferred her postpaid eSIM to the phone without issues, if it never unlocks that's fine by us but hopefully it does!

My wife has a Verizon Postpaid account with her family and we immediately transferred (using the iPhone to iPhone data transfer process when you start it up) which carried over her existing eSIM. At that point it had two eSIMs, her postpaid account, and this prepaid account. I let the extra number/plan ride on the phone until the prepaid plan expired (I had already ported myself out by then, set this phone to the primary acct holder), then we blocked the Verizon number that keeps notifying her about needing to "top up to keep the plan going" but I'm not removing the eSIM off the phone for now -- My hope is that the phone will magically unlock at 60d mark regardless, but if that's not the case, she has no intention of moving off Verizon anytime soon so it being locked is of no consequence to her and we can cross that bridge if and when she ever decides to leave her family plan. We have no intention of selling it, she's been using an 64gb iPhone 11 since it came out and this was a big upgrade for her so she'll be using it for at least 4-5years (she wanted this one over the iPhone 16e deal that came up recently as the larger screen appealed to her more than the newer processor, better camera, usb-c) so I imagine she'll stay with this phone, and Verizon, for at least the next 4-5yr. If it doesn't unlock within 60d (due to me not paying for the second month of prepaid) then eh we'll figure it out then, or just sell it. By then ideally another "deal" will show up if need be. For us though, for the price it was a great deal -- out of pocket entirely (w/ that first month of service at $40, and tax/fees factored it came up to $310.83 out the door). Thank you for posting this deal, she's beyond happy with the phone!

Glad it was helpful for you and that the deal came along at a good time! It really is a good price compared to other (new) large-screen iPhones, for what features the 14 Plus has.

So what's the play if I want to use on Red Pocket? Pay the 2nd month? Downgrade from unlimited for the second month? Wait until it's unlocked to install the Red Pocket esim?

I'm halfway thinking they're starting to do this due to people ordering so many. I didn't see anyone start asking these questions until more "recently" and we all see the posts about people ordering 4+ of them. My theory is they started doing that to avoid abuse/resellers.

There are a bunch of cases for $4.99, but the price changes to full MSRP when case is added to cart. Ex- https://www.verizon.com/products/...e-14-plus/

Anyone able to get it for $4.99? Customer support was super rude and didn't help at all.

Yes I had to. I recently placed an order with total wireless for the iphone 15 plus deal. I'm assuming that's why I had to verify.

Has anyone who added a NEW additional prepaid Verizon line to their current Prepaid Verizon account successfully gotten the additional $20 off/month (for up to 10 months total) for the iPhone 14 Plus deal (to ultimately bring the phone down to $49.99/$99.99 + taxes and fees after 10 months of discounts) or the similar iPhone 16e deal that offered an additional $25 off/month?

The Verizon Customer Service representative acted like that deal ($49.99/$99.99 for Verizon Prepaid iPhone 14 plus after 10 months of discounts) was only available for brand new prepaid Verizon accounts instead of those who add a "new plan/line", so I'm curious if anyone has been successful getting the additional $20/$25 off (for the prepaid iPhone 16e deal) per month that seemingly starts at the 2nd month of service.

Also, are there any particularly good cashback offers (that you could give me a hint about) for adding a New Line to a current Prepaid Verizon account currently available?
Unfortunately I don't seem to have any credit card or paypal offers for Verizon, and I'm unsure if Adding a New Prepaid line would be listed as a "Prepaid Line" or "Add a Line" offer for most cashback websites.

Thanks for any input. I appreciate it!
