I actually bought this set in store a while back, I know it wasn't for $12... prob closer to $6-$8. These aren't "heavy duty", and if they get wet, I suspect they'll prob rust. However, they are metal, sturdy enough where you can put a dutch oven on top of them, and they have rounded edges so nothing is sharp. Much better than pie tins (which you can't put anything heavy on top), or leaving it open. IMO, for $4, they are worth it if you need stovetop covers.

Electric "coil" stove tops 🤣🤣 I haven't seen one in person in a while
We are rocking one. In fact, when ours broke, we specifically looked for a used one with these.

We had one and it worked well. We replaced with a glass top which doesn't cook so well and went through a few of those. Eventually switched to gas which has been making things amazingly delicious. I do miss using these over the coils though, I think it's better than going to glass since it's still pretty clean but cooks well enough as long as the pot is not warped on the bottom

Looks like you just put them on top of the coils when you're not using the stove. Why? To make it seem neater?

For the same reason that grandma had to have a crocheted cover for the extra roll of toilet paper in the bathroom.

to protect coils from oil splashes when you are high-temp cooking on one of them, so oil/fat won't burn next time you are going to use them.

OK fancypants. I just checked and they're among the most popular sold at Home Depot just so ya know.

Could these be used as heat diffusers for cooking small items such as Moka pots?
