Microsoft just announced
price increases [gameinformer.com] for hardware, and the Elite Series 2 Core controllers went up from
$139.99 to $149.99. Despite this, Amazon, Walmart, and Target have them on sale for
$95.99.
These controllers have a tendency to fail early, so the 3 year warranty is highly recommended. Since it's under $100, the warranty is cheaper ($13.49 for 3 years from Amazon, $15 for 3 years at Walmart).
These are the core controllers, which are the same as the standard Elite Series 2 controllers except they don't come with all the accessories. You can buy accessories like replacement joysticks or rear triggers separately.

Crazy times we live in.
They sent me back a Shitty refurb, The controller was all dirty. I had to wipe it down to remove all the black marks (my controller was the core white). This "new one" now had a over sensitive left analog stick. Never again.
MS needs to retire this crap controller and release a V3 already. Its a shame because it is so nice.
