Our community has rated this post as helpful. If you agree, why not thank randomtask2005

I'm not sure why you would buy the batteries alone. Might as well just buy equipment and get the batteries for free. At $250 for the battery, the incremental cost to buy the lawnmower that comes with the battery from Lowe's is $30.

I think you missed the point of buying 3 and getting them for $150-ish each... $250 is not the deal here, it's buying multiple.

Thanks OP, sorry you're post didn't get the love the one posted minutes after yours... I saw your post and went to get my batteries immediately, thanks!!
FYI for future, the post title needs some more detail and should really highlight the deal price, not the single battery price.

They ring up individually, so you SHOULD be able to, but seems like partial returns when using deals like this are very YMMV at Lowe's, I've never had any issues but others have reported them (on other BOGO deals).
Usually the BOGO deals are IN-STORE ONLY for hacking for cheaper prices, but this appears like it would work with a pickup or online order as well...

Ego is my ecosystem. And I just don't see the point of having 4 5-amp batteries (one came with the equipment) unless you run a lawn care business.

You're only gonna have one charger and you only have two hands. Unless you have the riding mower, the most you're going to use is two at a time.

This is one of those "savings is not saving money" deals unless you have very specific needs

I know it's a refurb, but this chainsaw comes with a 5ah battery for $209. I got one a few days ago and it performed great for the few cuts I made.

For example, when mowing my lawn I usually use 1 1/2 5ah to mow, 1/2 5ah to trim, 1/2-1 4ah to edge, and 1/2-1 4ah/5ah to blow. Sometime I can get away with using 2 1/2 if I keep up with everything and don't let my lawn get too long, but other times I can't avoid that. I literally had to wait for a battery to charge to finish my lawn today because I only have 3 (2x5ah & 1x 4ah).
I've been waiting on a deal for either 7.5ah or 10ah for the mower, but saw this deal and picked up 3x5ah. I should be able to return what I don't want and keep the prorated $150/battery price. The original plan was to just return two immediately, but I couldn't make up my mind. I may just keep 2 and return/resell the last 1 OR keep 1 and return/resell the last 2.

I just buy the clone batteries for my 56v ego gear. They are wayyyy overpriced for what comes with it. (Much like the Ryobi 40v.)

With that said, buying Ego clones from China might not be a value anymore with the ridiculous taxes I have to pay to order and have it shipped here.

Well yeah, this can be applied to everything on this website lol. I don't understand why you're trying to get this point across. Just ignore the deal if it isn't for you and move to the next deal that you want.

Is one 5 ah battery for $249 a good deal? Bought the Ego shop vac and barely get 10 min of run time on my 5 ah battery so need another one.

FYI, I have all the ego things and have zero need for more than 2 5Ah batteries. Even when mowing I can quick charge an empty one to full by the time the other one runs out.

At least in my case, I've had my mower and weed wacker for so long that the batteries are out of warranty. One has already died so I'm on my last battery.

I have 3 chargers with 5 slots. How do you only have 1 charger? But agree at a certain point do you need more batteries? At this point I have 30 amps from just buying tools
