Deal Details
T-mobile is offering Samsung A16 free [t-mobile.com] via 24 monthly bill credits when you trade-in any device, including broken ones. Promotion ID R137, Samsung Trade ID250302. Just pay tax. Details say most plans, try test ordering online first to see if T-mobile.com offers you the promotion before asking if it works for your plan. Max is 4 per plan.

If you order from Costco or Sam's Club kiosk, the $35 DCC is waived and you get the store's GC. For Costco, it's $100 GC, so this is a money maker [reddit.com]. Don't know exactly how much Sam's Club offers, may be $75.

Phone Specs:
Exynos 1330
6.7 inches, 1080P, 90Hz refresh OLED display
4GB RAM
5000 mAmp battery

Review, 7 minutes long [youtube.com]

Can this promo be added to a line that already has an IEP? From the Thanksgiving Pixel deal?

Meh... I think better deals are coming. Wonder how long before they offer that new cheap iphone free with any plan. They need to keep customers...

Man, I tell you what, I'd be hard pressed to grab any deals from Tmo with them pulling their recent shenanigans unless you're already paying for a top tier plan (Sorry to those old top tier plans when you thought you'd get the best trade-in values).

Remember the free line a few months ago, then they follow it up with a price jack? Same thing with a free device I think in February. Funny how they offer a free device after 24 mo credits, then say "oh yeah, we'll also tack on this $5/fee per line - regardless if you THOUGHT you had Price Lock."

I'm on SC, and thankfully did NOT get the dreaded text, but, I'm not putting any more eggs in their basket. It's strictly service at this point, no loyalty.

Yes, a line can have multiple EIPs / RDCs, as long as the promotion ids are different. You can do it yourself via self service via t-mobile.com, just order without paying off the previous EIP on the line. With a person / at Costco / Sam's Club, they may not be able to or may not want to. Employees are not trained to help you exploit t-mobile promotions.

Promotions are not mutually exclusive. You can take advantage of this with any broken phone (as long as you can get the IMEI) and get paid through Costco / Sam's club rebate and still qualify for future potential promotions.

I got the A16 with Simple choice plan at Costco last week. No activation fee at Costco. Paid <$20 tax but will get $100 Costco shopping card after the 90 days phone return period. Can trade in with any phone condition.

Same here. T-mobile overpriced compared to Mint/etc.
WIll come back for a real deal on a flagship not some A16 with lock-in credits.

You're not getting a flagship with any trade-in or old plans from them.

Few years ago got two Note 10+ for 800... But yeah I think you're right, manufacturers give better deals now on flagships, especially factoring in the thousands I would save over the years using cheaper carriers.

Few years ago the new plans didn't exist and T-Mobile was still doing the "uncarrier" thing.

Many people have 5-10 lines and pay less than $150, so that's good for them.
