Bought this exact model direct from Greenworks a week ago using the 15% coupon which came out to $433.50 after coupon. Would have saved $25 with this deal. Oh well.
Mini review:

Cut the lawn this morning for the first time. Works well! I am coming from an older Greenworks 40v 19" push mower. Power difference is noticeable and the 22" definitely helps.
It is much more heavier than my old mower. That said, self propel is a neat function that I have not used before so coming from push style, I definitely recommend it! Mostly flat lawn but I can see its benefits.
Although it has compartment for two batteries, only one is "active". The other compartment is storage only. So you physically have to swap out to use a second battery. The 8ah 60v battery is massive as compared to the 40v I had in the past. I had 50% left after my < half acre lawn.
Used bagger only so can't speak to its mulching function nor the turbo mode. Hopefully it works as advertised during fall season.
Highly recommend especially at this price.

This comes with an 8ah battery. There should be plenty of capacity for small/med lawns unless the grass is very thick. I can finish mine with one, 6ah.

Just pointing out the obvious that, besides Ego's reputation, the Greenworks is self propelled and has a dual blade, whereas the Ego is a push mower with single blade.

So tempting. I've got two 4ah batteries, blower, chainsaw, string trimmer, and hedge trimmer in the greenworks 60v series. My current mower is the v60 craftsman from about 4 years ago that still keeps trucking along, but the battery (7.5ah) is showing signs that this might be its summer that I'm able to mow the entire yard on a single charge. What to do...what to do.
This one should be pretty comparable to the V60. I'm surprised your V60 has held up this long. I lost mine the beginning of its third year due to its poorly designed and irreplaceable 7.5ah battery. Also lost the 2.5ah battery in the weed eater this past fall. It's a shame. The actual units are fine, just can't get batteries! From what you see around the net, I don't think many in this line are still running.

Anyhow, if you are already wearing down (all batteries do regardless of brand), jumping on a good deal is prob not a bad idea. Battery failures aren't really linear. Might degrade slowly for awhile until suddenly just gives up the ghost. Especially with those craftsman batteries since they are apparently poor design. I went back to gas myself, but before I would get another battery mower, I'd make sure replacement batteries are available and somewhat reasonably priced, with maybe even some 3rd party options available vs the craftsman situation again.

I've been following the Greenworks line for several years. I have a 40V string trimmer, blower & hedge trimmer. These work great for my 1/4 acre needs.

This looks like a great deal. I've been waiting for my six yo Toro gas mower to die. Fresh oil, a new spark plug, and blade sharpening every year keeps it chugging along nicely. Two of those three could be eliminated forever by making this leap to battery operation. What to do….?

I have a 56v ego mower and have used it for 4 years. The battery flashes red and shuts off the mower every 5 min or so. Then I can turn it back on and keep going after a few seconds. Too bad it's out of warranty. Support says I need to replace it.
I recently picked up an 80v greenworks mower and I like it a lot better. The mower itself is a bit smaller in profile but same cut width (21"), so it's easier to maneuver around stuff (kids playset, fence posts, etc.). As someone else said, the battery warranty is longer than ego, which is a big plus considering my ego battery pretty much started having issues right after my warranty was over.
Greenworks is a solid choice

I have an 80v 21in model I got from costco about 3 seasons ago now and it's still running strong. I use 2x 4ah batteries in it and I can get my smaller yard done with about a half battery left. This is with using self propel the entire time and 100% in turbo mode. It's been very dependable. Only thing I don't like on it is the anti rollback safety and that on mine it doesn't use both batteries at the same time and the switch over can take a little longer then it should and it slows down until it kicks over and gets a shot of life back in it.

I have read online that the newer dual battery models don't have this issue anymore because they pull from both batteries at the same time. The bonus of this is that you will have prolonged runtime without a voltage drop like you do on this model I have that switches over. The minor downside is that you won't know when to take your battery out and start charging it if you wanted to throw the dead one back on the charger while using the second one.

I have the 25 and really like it, the extra width is very nice. I'm happy with Greenworks 60v batteries
I hate it, there are always spots that the wide one doesn't cut evenly where my old gas one did not. It does a mediocre at best job.
It looks ok after I am done because I frequently go over spots it missed again.

This or the Lowes Ego for same price?
The Ego is push. Not self propelled. And a 6ah battery I think. This normally cost an extra $100.00 and worth every penny!

I took the plunge on this deal. My old snapper self propelled still running strong after 7 years, but I was determined to go electric this year. I'll sell the Snapper while it's still running. This is a nice mower. Reasonably heavy and well made. Think I made a good choice. Have the Greenworks 60v blower and chainsaw as well and well pleased with all.
An EV is next on the list.

I used the 15% coupon twice at Greenworks for the 60v 18" chainsaw and 60v blower. Both great deals.
Batteries and chargers with both kits. Had decided to order the mower as well, but just before I did I found this deal and also a Walmart deal. The Walmart deal is the previous 21" model with two 5ah batteries and charger for $424.00
A great deal for 10ah total. In the end I went with this deal due to the slight improvements in the mower itself

I am using this mower for the last 2 years. It automatically switches over to the other battery, confused why it doesn't do so on your unit

I have the 60v version of this mower as well as a 2020 one battery self propelled 60v version. I paid
$190 for the one battery version in 2019 on a clearance sale and $400 in 2023 on the two battery version, which came with two 5Ah batteries and a double charger. I still haven't used the two battery one because the old one is still working well. As for performance, I'm very pleased. I have a 1/2 lot. The self propelled makes the job easy and it cuts well. I'm 68, so I only cut the front or back yard so I have more then enough battery power for the work I'm doing. I purchased extra batteries for old one and all batteries are still going strong. I let them cool down completely before charging and keep them inside in a cool place. I also check them during the winter months and occasionally charge them back up to 100%. That being said, this is a great deal if you're looking into going battery powered. I'm looking to buy a Green works rider in a few years but they are going to have to come down from the current $5000 price tag.

Edit: Ignore my comments below, this model is different from mine and does not have battery auto switch function.

As another poster said, I have been using the exact same model for the last three years, "active" battery switching happens automatically. In fact if you use one battery only, it doesn't matter which port you put it in. It may have come from unclear wording in the manual but I had the same understanding as you until one day it switched automatically. Never switched the port since then

I have this as well. I bought the combo version with the weed whacker. I can mow my whole lawn and use the same battery in the weeder and finish the job. The self propel is nice because I have a hill in the back. I especially like that you can change the speed with your thumb. Sometimes you need more help and sometimes you want to go slower etc. I was going to buy a 2nd battery and I just never needed to. It is fairly heavy tho just FYI. Mine also came with an extra blade which is nice to have. I imagine it should last for some time.
