All Lavazza espresso roasts are like this. They are "medium" but I'd describe them as medium dark. The inconsistency in roast color is because they mix in some Robusta beans (usually roasted a bit lighter) for more Crema and for the classic Italian roast flavor. In a super auto they work well, but they are not good if used in brewed coffee like aeropress because they tend to be not freshly roasted and as a result taste flat.

This particular blend is supposed to be 100% arabica, though.

I can't keep these flavors straight but that last one with "creme" was my favorite so far. Cancelled the other subscriptions

I just remember that blue color is good and the black color is acceptable when needed. But I buy them both when on sale because why not!

You're right, I didn't notice that. I was basing my experience off Gran Crema and Super Crema which are a blend of arabica and robusto.

This is a great price but imho, this is the bottom of Lavazza in terms of taste. But your taste may vary and for the caffeine that gives life literally to many, crema up folks.
