4k is not always a better option, especially considering how much more taxing 4k is on hardware than 1440p. HDR videos/ games will look better on the AOC even though it's only 1440p, especially at a "27 size.

This a great option for a budget HDR monitor that puts out some impressive visuals. The stand only tilts and the monitor is limited on outputs and has no firmware updating. The Windows 11 HDR settings require trial and error to find out what looks good on SDR content and there isn't a lot of info on the net about how to tweak this monitor for best effect, yet.
If you can get past the issues, you'll get a great performer for about half the price of an OLED of similar size.

This is currently one of the highest contrast ratios you can buy on a non-OLED monitor. RTINGS has it up around 9500:1 with local dimming enabled. I'm well aware of AOC's reputation, but the last few years have gone great for them. This monitor rates very highly for the price.

Rtings hasn't reviewed this one just the old one. I owned it and sold it within 3 weeks and it just came out a month ago and is on sale already for a reason

That bad? I was under the impression the the older model was good, but this has over double the dimming zones

Spend $30 more and get a 120hz 4K IPS panel

But that's Ips, and 120hz is low for gaming

I own the first iteration of this monitor and I like it, there have been some nuisances like windows not recognizing it as an HDR monitor and having to unplug and replug (but I think that's just because of WINDOWS.) I use the AMD software to enhance the color and it looks great! I was thinking of getting a 2nd monitor and I wasn't aware of this upgrade I may consider it especially for this price. Comparing it to an OLED TV you can notice a difference in blacks in games but for most games it out performs any other non-OLED monitor in my opinion.

Oh no, not at all. But it has better contrast and colors than a standard LCD

Honestly gonna get some hate for this I've owned 2 oled monitors in the past 2 weeks the first one developed burn in within a week and the newer one gets hella image retention so now I have a sour taste for oled and will wait to get a new one

I ended up buying the monitor. I love it! Definitely an upgrade.
