I bought the waterproof "mid" version of these last year. I don't wear them a lot because I got them for cold weather, but I'd still like to try the regular (low) version...

You're right that corporate greed has moved most mfg of all kinds to asia, but unless the knock off is perfect and comes from the same plant, I'm just not willing to try it.

I don't want to find out that I bought a tofu dreg (and china cuts many corners) shoe when I'm somewhere isolated. Not worth it to me even if I saved some money.
