This is from the frequently asked questions section of their return policy. They should absolutely return it. Ask for corporates number.
If you purchased items as part of a BOGO promotion, the purchase discount will be prorated to each item proportionately. If you choose to return any of the items, your refund will be equivalent to the prorated amount.
I wonder if I screwed myself ordering from the website? It doesn't show up as pro-rated when ordering on the website...

I just bought this from Costco for $529.00: Greenworks 80V 21" Gen 2 Self-Propelled Mower w/ Extra Blade, (2) Batteries & Rapid Charger

Can someone suggest if this is better than Costco? I have the EGO blower and would like to get all from the same brand.

Here is the Costco one: https://www.costco.com/Greenworks...ue&nf=true

Ego is typically better than greenworks in terms of build quality and parts available

I guess I got totally screwed. Never seen a deal where you must order on the app in order to do the return situation. Sadly, I used multiple gift cards so I think returning and rebuying would be a mess.

Lowe's has the EGO 800 Series LM2135SP Select Cut with Touch Drive 21-in Self Propelled Battery Walk Mower, (1) 56-volt, 7.5 Ah Battery Included + FREE 56-volt 5ah Battery for $547.

HACKABLE - $375 + Free in-instore pickup. Showed for me: $375.89 for Lawn Mower.

Use the APP for the price to be unbundled with Free In-Store Pickup.

Just bought and they let me immediately return. Full out the door price was $400 for the Lawn Mower which already includes the 7.5ah battery

OP please make it clear that you HAVE TO use the app if you want to return the $5Ah battery. Sadly there billing system is broken and it won't work on PC. I ordered using PC because I don't know if I would have gotten cashback if I didn't. I also used multiple gift cards, so returning it would be a messy situation....

Anyone able to add their military discount?
Lowes won't allow the military discount to apply to anything on sale or clearance anymore. Home Depot does, fwiw.

It's about as loud as a regular lawn mower,
I can't take your opinion seriously after reading that; in fact, I wouldn't trust your opinion on ANYTHING after reading that because it's that ridiculous. This is beyond nonsense. The difference in sound is quite notable.

Yes, battery life will diminish after a couple of years. No argument there. It cuts fine, granted you aren't trying to chop down 4 inch tall wet grass. I prefer my gas mower in the spring when it's raining more and grass grows faster. I find it helps if you manually push instead of letting the mower propel itself... especially when grass is higher or wet. Are you mowing at the lowest setting on an overgrown lawn? A gas powered mower is definitely more powerful for worst case scenarios but the Ego is great for regular upkeep and despite what you say, it's relatively silent compared to my Honda/Craftsman ICE mower.

I have a Honda gas mower. But I have s few slopes in my yard and it's s pain with the gas mower. That, and also when I tried to start the mower a month back after the winter, it took me about 50+ string pulls before it started.

That's when I started thinking about electric mowers. Since you have both, is the electric mower significantly lighter than the gas?

Yes. It is significantly lighter. I haven't weighed the two to compare but it's a noticeable difference when pushing it without the wheels engaged. The wheels driving the electric work well too, it just wears down the battery faster. I have a bunch of small but steep hills to fight with and it makes a huge difference with the wheels disengaged, less so if I let the wheels help, granted I keep them on the ground.

Be sure to empty the mower in the fall, burn off the old gas. Use a fuel stabilizer on any gas remaining in the can (but better to have a new can in the spring with fresh gas). Take off the air filter and spray a few short bursts of carb&choke cleaner directly into the port when you pull the string. If you get it running, keep the choke fully engaged and spray a couple more bursts into the air chamber... too much and it will not get enough air and will shut down again. Let it warm up, spray a few more times, then replace the filter and turn off the choke.

It should save your wrist and prevent a few calluses. Or buy the electric, lol, that's as good of an argument as any! You'll want to have both batteries if you have a lawn that takes more than thirty minutes, especially when the batteriest get older.

Ordered one using app and picked up in store. Started the battery return in app right away and showed the bar code and battery to the young lady at return place, no problem at all other than the young lady laughed: "you just picked it up, didn't you?" I actually saw this deal yesterday but forgot the battery return hack at that time thus didn't pull the trigger. Thank you for posting.

They have a 30 day return policy on mowers used/unused. So you should be able to swap it out without issue. I've had no issues returning used within the window to them. I'd say call your store and see if you can just pop in with your old receipt and take care of it without bringing in the mower. If you already got the extra battery, just paid more, I was able to just get a price match a few hours ago by chatting with a rep online. Just refunded the difference back to my original form of payment.
Do you think they would do this if you bought it 2 months ago? It had the free battery then too.

Just tried to return only the battery (ordered in the app) and was refused. Says since it is a promo they are not supposed to only accept one item for return. Ended up returning everything. So, curious what people are experiencing out there.

Okay, dude. Like I said, I've been using it for about 2 years and I still have a gas mower I use on occasion as well. If people are buying this thinking it's going to sound like house fan, they're wrong. It's loud. Not as loud as a gas mower but to me, it's not different enough to consider it a benefit.
Again, had it for a while. I know how to use it. I know that cutting longer grass on shorter settings will be more difficult and will use more power. But my complaints are for standard use, every two weeks, same setting. But even if you wanted to cut it after a long grow, a gas mower is still definitely better.
Who wants to own 2 mowers? The whole point is to get one that works whatever the job. You shouldn't pay 600 for a mower if you have to get another one to do the things this one can't.

Every 2 weeks. How long? Probably 4 months.
