I have a Honda gas mower. But I have s few slopes in my yard and it's s pain with the gas mower. That, and also when I tried to start the mower a month back after the winter, it took me about 50+ string pulls before it started. That's when I started thinking about electric mowers. Since you have both, is the electric mower significantly lighter than the gas?
At the end of cutting season, I let it run until gasoline in the tank empty. It take about 2 or 3 pull and engine start for beginning of cutting season, this Honda mower never fail for 8 + years, I used Sea Foam mixed with gasoline tank.

Unless your mowing your grass wet I find the plastic deck of these doesn't build up grass. I've had mine for 4.5 yrs and I have scraped the deck once because I mowed very wet grass. The mower actually kind of shout down that one time as well but ended up starting back up almost instantly. The 1st and only time it ever did that.

The mower is relatively quiet. Certainly not near as loud as a gas mover. You don't need earplugs with these as with a gas mower you should probably wear them. Not as powerful as a gas mower but gets the job done if your just mowing grass. If your picking up leaves and such it's not so good at that.

I just got this done at my Lowe's no problem. Ordered on the website last night, but after reading all the comments, I placed a new order on the app this morning. Went and picked it up no problem, then sat in my car for about 2 minutes while the guy that helped me load it went back inside and marked it as picked up, and when he did, I got a text.

At that point, I was able to find the order on the app and "start a return" for just the battery. Pressed a couple of buttons and had a bar code to return it with. I walked back in the store (lol..luckily at my store the pickup and returns is a different spot and different people, so there was no walk of shame), showed them my barcode and said that I didn't realize the mower already came with a large battery. Took 30 seconds to return the extra one and get $180.xx credit after tax. Excellent deal, and quite easy to pull off if you order on the app.

You mean you mix sea foam with gasoline during normal operation during the cutting season?

I'm on the fence about this. Love the blower and string trimmer I already have. Have been considering a mower as well, but nothing wrong with my toro w/honda motor. Do I flip it and go fully electric? Small yard (1/3 acre).

I've had mine for 3 years or so along with some other Ego accessories. I have a tiny yard so electric works well for me. I think in your situation where you have a smaller yard electric makes a lot of sense. If you have a larger yard or a lot of thick vegetation then gas might be better. Personally I love it, I can mow my entire yard, trim/edge, and blow with one battery. I never have to fuss with gas, prime it or struggle with starting my mower ever again. Simple push button and it's ready to go. I am 100% happy going full electric and I think you will be too especially since you have other Ego accessories (extra batteries always helps) and have a small(ish) yard.

Thanks for the feedback!

Anyone: how large is the box for this? Would it fit in a sedan (accord)?

Um...maybe. I also have an accord ('18, so the previous gen). I just looked and I think with the driver's seat up a bit, you could slide it into the back seat. Box is roughly 18x24x40. I wasn't trying to find out, so I took my wife's SUV Smilie.

Bummer - yeah, looks like the price went up. Line item for the mower is now $423.12, assuming you return the battery.
