This would be perfect for me to switch to from my current Mint plan, but I have many months left. Any way that I can buy this deal now and activate it later this year?

On Google fi for like a decade, but they have the worst customer service of literally any company I've ever dealt with. I recommend staying away.

can you elaborate? I just called customer service and both times they answered within seconds, and were very very friendly.

I have two phones, both unlocked and both compatible but I only need one plan. If I get a physical sim, does anyone know if I can just swap it out whenever I want to switch phones?
Yes, you can freely swap.

If you are a low data user, us mobile is unbeatable. Great cell service, VERY knowledgeable agents, choice of networks (easy to switch between them, if you want to), tax+fees included, etc... I have had 3 lines with them for a while now. I used to jump between carriers multiple times a year, but I think I have been with US Mobile now maybe two years. Except for the withdrawal symptoms from change-provider-syndrome, everything has been great. Having said that there are cheaper options for larger volume data, although you do pay with lack of network quality, customer service, choice of network, etc.).

Google Fi has one of the highest (if not THE highest) taxes+fees components in monthly bills compared to other providers (including the big three). It can be as high as $8/line. A 4-line deal here would be $50 for the plan and $30+ for fees. Suddenly it goes from $12.5/line/month to over $20/line/month.

That's what I found in various forums. Easy to find those discussions on reddit. I tried contacting Google Fi agents, and they won't tell me, which kind of confirms it I guess.

Ah drat, it's only the lowest tiers of the plans, not the Unlimited Premium. That's the one I needed for the international data, should I wait for a deal on that plan?

If you travel outside for a couple of months to Japan, Vietnam, and India, what plan is recommended? Last time, my visible plan didn't work, even for incoming texts.

"Ultra-reliable 5G network" Not if you live 50+ miles outside a large city. It's horrible here. All that money, and Google uses T-Mobile bands.. maybe they should have upped and uses AT&T bands instead for people actually outside a large USA city.

A carrier in those countries of course... sim cards there are cheap.

Just curious why you're advising everyone to stay away when you've been with them for over 10 years?

this is not true at all. please stop spreading lies.
first of all if you are dialing 611 to reach tmobile customer service that is YOUR fault.
the real best customer reps are on X (tmobile help). when you dm them and confirm your account
they go above and beyond. I do agree dialing 611 or calling TMobile customer service directly is not great.

Please note that this offer cannot be combined with other phone discounts. At the beginning of the year, Google Fi had a half-price phone plan promotion, which I participated in. However, shortly after that, I was no longer eligible for the Samsung S25 discount purchase.

My TMobile experience is a 15+yr long history of challenges and bad results.. But What about Google FI is the Experience good? Do I break a inexpensive long term grandfathered tmobile contract to go with Google Fi??

Depending on your data usage, there may be other plans for you to switch to. I would probably permanently switch to a cheap prepaid carrier instead of this offer because switching out 6 lines is a bit of work.
