And?

Every time I work with USM staff they are competent, polite, and patient. And almost always get things right on the first effort!

To compare, "US-based" Consumer Cellular is a joke for "customer service."

I switched from T-Mobile to US Mobile last month. I wish I switched sooner.

Very easy to port out. No issues. It's great being able to switch between all three networks, which is unique to US Mobile.

My wife was hesitant to switch, but she's had no issues at all on Dark Star (AT&T). I have RCS issues on Dark Star with a OnePlus 13, but no issues on Warp (Verizon).

Warning: THIS MENTION IS MISLEADING BY US MOBILE. A WATCH PLAN IS NOT AVAILABLE ON DARK STAR. WARP ONLY FOR WATCH PLAN. Basically, don't go thinking you can get a watch plan on this promo. Yes, I'm a US Mobile user.

Is that why their customer support is so good? I just assumed they trained up their team and gave them the tools to fix issues.

Unlike total wireless. Total wireless decided to sync my plan renewals for my phones, I lost between 1 week and 3 weeks of prepaid service on 4 lines. Their customer service was sorry (I could tell because we were counting because the Rep said I am sorry like it was a nervous tick. The manager was also sorry, sorry, sorry. I promised to 1. Get my money back they stole from me. 2. Leave total wireless. 3. Tell everyone about them stealing from me. (He was still sorry ) I handed the phone to my wife so she could hear him say sorry. I used a different phone and called my credit card company and got my money back before he was finished saying sorry over and over to my wife.

edit to be clear I like us mobile's customer support.
I didn't even understand a bit what they spoke..

Damn, currently on a Trial plan with them.
You can actually chat with the agent. Some is able to honor you the deal and refund the 45dollar trial to you.

Checked with Customer Support - It is for new lines only. Not for existing customers. Only way for existing customers to get this deal is by porting out to another carrier, wait for at least 15 days and then port in to avail this deal. The purchased plan is valid for 30 days and stays on your dashboard for you to activate the line. After the first line is activated. You get to activate the second line. - This is what I understood from my chat with the customer support representative.
they told me you can activate the second line within 90days

I was told 30 days which seems to agree with the terms and conditions: https://www.usmobile.com/terms

Annual Unlimited Premium and Annual Unlimited Starter "Buy One, Get One" deal:

6. The free annual plan must be activated within 30 days of being made available on the user's dashboard. It will expire after 30 days if it is unactivated.

Just to clarify, you'd need to port out your original Line 1, then port a non US-Mobile Line 2 into US-Mobile before this expires on 6/7, then after 15 days you can port back in Line 1 to US-Mobile.

Also something interesting is that you can (soon) gift these free plans to other people, even those who are not US-Mobile customers:

11. The free line will be giftable (once the gifting feature is available sometime in June 2025): that is, a user who receives a free Annual plan as part of the BOGO deal can transfer that free line to another user (this could be an existing user or someone who is not yet a US Mobile user – they will receive the free plan after creating their US Mobile account).

Sometimes trying to figure out the deal is like trying to learn a PhD.

So I have questions:
1. I'm on Tmobile - can I get this deal? It says both lines have to be port-ins? Does this just mean new to Dark Star (AT&T)?????
2. "US Mobile allows you to transfer your lines between all three of their network, Dark Star, Warp and Light Speed" Does this mean US Mobile three different networks?????????
3. Can anyone comment on Mint Mobile vs US Mobile vs TMobile? Mint is $20 unlimited per line - so $40/month for two lines. How are Speeds/connections/features?
4. Why choose Unlimited Starter vs Unlimited Premium? Isn't Premium better? Why the two choices?
5. What the heck is "Get Annual Unlimited Starter Plan" for free. No description of this online? What does it offer????
6. Int'l Data in 90+ Countries Int'l Calling & Texting - what are the limitations? This seems like a killer deal. TMbolile allwos for data and I think calling in Canad and Mexico. But this says 90+ Countries - again this is a killer deal if correct. Can anyone comment on this?

ATM I'm on a grandfathered TMobile for $80/month - 55+ discount and online pay $10 less - I'm pissed it used to be $70! I really want to dump Tmobile. Definitely don't want to go to Verizon and ATT. Is US Mobile (or Mint Mobile) a good replacement?? I worry about service/quality/coverage. US Mobile says 99% coverage and no commitment - but you do have to prepay for the year - does this mean they will offer refund for unused months???
1. Yes you can, and yes just new to US-Mobile in general. You can be part of AT&T and still get this deal, but I don't think you can port a line that on US-Mobile-Warp/Lightspeed (their Verizon/TMobile)

2. Yes, you can switch between them normally but on this promo you must stay on AT&T/Dark Star 90% of the time or the promo is invalidated

3. Well this deal is for Dark Star/AT&T, you can't switch to Light Speed/T-Mobile. Even ignoring that, All 3 have different levels of plans themselves (even unlimited ones), so best bet is to load up a comparison website and check the specific plans you want. https://www.bestphoneplans.net/

4. Because Starter is cheaper? Premium gets you higher priority, no throttling after 70 GB and a different Hotspot data cap, free smartwatch, etc.

5. You just asked about Unlimited Starter plan in the previous question. For most plans you can pay monthly or annually (with a discount)

6. https://www.usmobile.com/internat...hone-plans

7. Terms, click on Refund Policy: https://www.usmobile.com/terms

• It has been less than 45 days since the plan was purchased
• It has been less than 30 days since the plan start date
• There has been no usage within the current cycle (otherwise partial refund, see below)
• The plan is not a snooze plan
• For lines on an unlimited plan that includes roaming, there has been zero usage of any roaming data, talk, or text

I'm also switching from T-Mobile. My 10 person plan went from $220 -> $290

I have an existing line with US mobile. It sounds like port out and port back in after 15 days to activate the free line may work. I wonder which carrier would be cheap to temporarily port out the number to?

Thanks for the explanation. Yeah Frack TMobile. I still like them expect the increasing fees.

I created an account - and surprisingly a got an email from a US Mobile Account Manager to continue my account signup. I didn't pull the trigger.

Again so confusing. So is it cool to have 3 separate networks - but so confusing.

If I purchase the Premium Plan - which allows you to switch between plans for free - does this allow me to then use my watch on Warp - and my phone on any of the other three plans?

EDIT: Nevermind from their features table:

I guess I misread this post.

It's not truly BOGO - correct? You buy Premium you get Unlimited Starter - correct? I was assuming you buy Premium you get another line on Premium. Again - not truly BOGO.

Also, found out Apple Watch not supported on any network.

Every wireless deal has to come with so many compromises and caveats. Nothing straight forward.

Yeah that's correct, though you can pay the difference with support to upgrade the free line to premium

need some promos for the Warp network!
they are really pushing Dark Star, gotta have some deal going with ATT to move people from the other networks.
I have four lines on Warp and one on Light Speed and have been very happy with them and i will also say that customer service has been the best.

Premium Plan gives you priority data and as a current customer is a no brainer. I have the starter and have no gripes except, when i got to a crowded area like a farmers market or if I am stuck in traffic, my data speed is pretty much non existent.

Try Number Barn or Tello. Google Voice allows free port in but charges $20 to port out.

Does anyone know if this promotion is compatible with cash back sites for plan purchases?
