I didn't mention any reviews, nor did I say ryobi is the best lawn mower. Good luck finding consensus on "best lawn mower". What I said is that this lawn mower has li-ion batteries, and those are are best kind of batteries you can find for lawn mowers at this time.
I misread your comment, I agree with you there.

I bought this mower last week for my mom. She absolutely loves it. The second day she gave me a call and said she bent the blade. So I lifted the mower unscrewed the blade set it on a metal table and used a hammer to straighten it back out. And it worked perfectly fine. The blades are weak they're designed to bend because It's a lot cheaper replacing a blade thanthan a broken electric motor. If you run over limbs, rocks or even a small dirt pile you will bend the blades.

Very powerful and even cut.

Hasn't bogged down in high grass. Roughly 1.5 acre and has 67% battery life when finished.

Vs the zero turn.
Zero turn uses a joystick and is difficult to maneuver around fence. The riding mower is way easier to control than the other mower.

Truck style bed allows for garden tools, weed sprayer or just a cooler.

It has lots of adjustments for blade speed drive speed. It does take a little getting used to on the Forward and reverse pedal . It just feels like you have to extend your leg all the way for it to start moving. But other than that, I would definitely buy this mower again.

You used to be able to buy a Prius for this kind of money, nowadays you get a mower 🤣
This is silly, because:
  1. The Toyota Prius has never been priced anywhere near $3000. MSRP was like $20k and up 25 years ago.
  2. The Prius is a gas-electric hybrid, this is purely battery powered.
  3. Traditional gas powered tractors can cost this much and require gas, oil, air filters, and other engine related maintenance.
  4. The Toyota Prius delivers a pretty terrible cut to lawns, and is heavy enough to get stuck constantly on wet, soft ground.
I like looking, and my next mower may be electric (have a battery walk behind mower), but my 4 year old Cub Cadet zero turn most likely won't need to replaced for quite some time, so I'm not serious about buying now. Of course if there's an amazing steal of a deal I might not be able to say no, but this isn't that.

I think the zero turn vs traditional steering is something that anyone interested in any kind of riding mower should try out for a good period of time before deciding one way or another. The zero turn gives you a lot of control but there is definitely a steeper learning curve for people who are used to normal steering. Definitely worth comparing with other models near this price point and making sure you are comfortable with the kind of steering in your mower before you commit this kind of money.

I've been considering electric, can anyone comment on the noise level of these?

Also how many years before replacing the batteries?

They are very silent when blades are off. Blades are loud. Overall I would say these are much quieter than gas mowers, but they are by no means silent when blades are running.

Each blade sounds like someone playing the bagpipe. 2 blades so two players.

In theory as long as you dont leave the batteries dead or constantly on the charger, they should last the life of the mower. On the bright side you only need 1 suitecase cell to run the mower.
