The Apple A18 chip is expected to be used in the next generation of iPads, potentially including the iPad 11th generation and the iPad mini. This chip would offer a significant performance boost and support for Apple's new AI features, which are expected to roll out with iPadOS 18.1.

I'll consider it when they put in a 120hz screen. I have bigger and smaller devices with it, no reason why they can't add it to this one.

ya, ipad mini with 120fps refresh rate, oled or mini led with minimum 256gb storage and 8+ gb ram would be perfect

I'm an Android person so forgive if this is a dumb question. My wife is in the Apple ecosystem. Is this device going to to get the new IOS 26? I'm trying to decide whether to wait or not. She just surfs buzzfeed and articles so I'm not particularly worried about getting her the new a-18 chip(?).

Absolutely this iPad mini will receive iPad OS updates for years to come, even all the Mac OS-esque features just recently announced as well.
