My wife and I did this deal earlier. Ordering was easy and we each got the Iphone 14 plus. We ported GV numbers, which wasn't horrible either. Then the issues began. Once or twice a week our phones would go into SOS mode and we would spend hours on the phone or chat trying to get the esims reactivated. It was a TOTAL nightmare. When we bought them, it was 60 days to unlock only, no requirement for the 60 days of paid service as well. We fought with them on this multiple times and were basically told tough shit. We ended up paying for the second month of service on each phone. After 60 days, the phones did not automatically unlock. Several more calls and chats, we were told that our phone were not eligible even though we already did the 60 days. We filed multiple BBB and FCC complaints and we finally got the phones unlocked and switched them to Visible. This was our experience and I can only warn any one thinking about Total Wireless that their support is terrible and that's being nice. At this point I would go with ANY other provider than them.

Total has been a complete nightmare to deal with if you have any issues just as an FYI

I was able to unlock my 16e by moving service into the lock phone for the second month. My sister uses total so I lend her my phone for a month. Swapping is hassle but didn't have to pay second month

I think it checks if you have service at 60 day or not. Her number was totally different than what I activated with.

I used an email address ending "@outlook.com", and none of emails from TotalWireless reaches my email inbox. Does anyone have the same problem?
Did you try your junk folder?

Yes. I checked my junk folder, blocked email addresses and filters. I got none. :-(

I just ported in a GV.
How do I get more GV numbers to get a few phones?
Once the GV number is fully ported out then it becomes a cell number -- you can use that cell number to create a new GV number

I got the phone with google voice line and it was awful to deal with. I spent hours on the phone with the worst costumer service. It deactivated the day after and nothing has been right. I would avoid this like the plague.

It is truly the worst company I've ever dealt with. I told people in the comments don't deal with this company. You can't believe anything they say and their customer service does not give a damn

Someone mentioned that porting is not necessary. Just enter a number during checkout and activate online when you get phone with new number

I have not verified this however

When it comes to canceling the line after the initial 3 months of usage, is it hard to do? (I don't need to keep the number) Unenrolling the auto payment and leave the phone in the drawer will automatically cancel the line?
that's it, to port a number out of total is where the problem lies👍

Need some guidance to see if this makes sense. This is for my very technologically ignorant MIL. She's got a single line with Verizon. Probably paying way too much.

I have a family plan with Verizon. They are offering me a free additional line on a BYOD offer. If I bring my MIL over, I would need to get her a new phone number (they said they won't transfer a Verizon number to a new Verizon plan). Not sure if that's 'really true, but since my MIL probably only calls 3 people, a new number isn't a deal killer.

She also has an iphone 8. Yes, an 8. the battery barely lasts through the morning, so she needs a new phone.

Thinking she takes advantage of this deal to upgrade her phone. She drawers the phone for a couple months, uses the iPhone 8 on my Verizon plan with the new number until the new iPhone 14 unlocks. After 3 months, closes out the Total Wireless plan.

Since the issues with Total customer service seem to be related to porting out, she might be able to pull this off since she would not be porting out anything.

Please point out flaws in my logic here since it needs to be pretty simple for her to pull off

So C1 works with 14+ or 14, but not the 13 dea success it's freel?
If strictly going by the t&c, it only works with the 14+ deal, cause this regular 14 deal requires "Get for $99.99 when you switch & purchase a 3-month 5G or 3-month 5G+ plan.", and that 3-month plan is indeed "airtime". Has anyone gotten the cap1 $120 cb to apply onto this iphone14 deal? Cause cap1 is horrible for not following through with the cashback offers
