I was looking at the list of store closings in California and I saw 2 very busy stores (Glendale and the one in Sherman Oaks on Riverside). The Riverside store is the busiest RA that I've ever been in. The Vineland store was very busy, too (wonder if it's still open). Riverside and Vineland were 24 hour stores. It's been a long time since I've been to these stores so maybe things changed. The Granada Hills store is closing, too. The CVS across the street closed a couple of years ago. I could never figure that one out. It was next door to Ralphs and always busy. It was an awesome store for couponing. I don't live in the area and I was shocked when I found out it was gone. Maybe too much theft from the high school kids. During lunch break, 100's of kids would converge on CVS and it was hard not to get trampled by all of the shoplifters. I'm told that the RA across the street was an underperforming store but it always seemed busy to me. It was in an old Hughes grocery store that became Ralphs and then RA. It was weird when the two Ralphs were across the street from each other. I didn't know anybody at the RA the last time I was in there which has to be 3 or 4 years ago.

I read an article which stated that ALL Rite Aid stores are closing (or being converted into either CVS or Walgreen's stores). That was confirmed by a store manager (in NY). What's the point in an article like the above (that lists stores), when the entire chain is now defunct??
They're clearly dumping leftover items on Amazon. They wouldn't be doing that if some stores were remaining open!
