To reduce installation of games and other unwanted apps:
Set up without going on WiFi or inserting SIM card. Click on Skip for WiFi and Set up offline for the SIM card. Then Continue to set up offline.
Go to the App manager, click to view system apps. Then disable App cloud, Mobile Applicatons Manager.
After that you can enable WiFi, isert SIM card, activate.

i would never sell on ebay swappa etc. better to do in person and be done with it
both my son and i had 1+12r 16gb variant.
i got bored of mine...so sold it and bought this instead
son has no intention of getting rid of his 1+. he likes it quite a bit
