Boost Mobile [boostmobile.com] has 512GB Motorola edge+ 2023 Smartphone (Boost Mobile Locked, Black) on sale for $59.99 + $60 1-Month Unlimited Talk/Text/Data Service = $119.99. Shipping is free.

This phone is now back in stock at Boost. It's a steal at this price still has better specs than most phones out there especially with 512gb of storage. I bought one on last years deal and was able to unlock it via one of the unlockers who were kicked off of eBay. Many didn't have the unlock codes yet back then but would assume their available now. YMMV. I currently use mine with Instabridge esim for 5gb of free data a month. Just bought another for my wife.

Note, on product page select "I don't want protection" or Boost Protect will be added to cart at $12/month.

Specs (source [motorola.com]):
Processor: Qualcomm SM8550-AB Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 (4 nm)
Display: 6.7" 1080x2400 165Hz pOLED
RAM: 8GB LPDDR5X
Storage: 512GB
Operating system: Android 13
Battery: 5100mah
Cameras:
Rear Camera Hardware - 50MP, 1/1.5" optical format, f/1.8 aperture, 1.0µm pixel size | Quad Pixel Technology for 2.0µm, Omni-directional PDAF, Optical Image Stabilization, 50MP Ultrawide angle (114° FOV), Macro Vision, f/2.2 aperture, 0.64µm pixel size | Quad Pixel, Technology for 1.28µm, 12MP Portrait (2x telephoto), f/1.6 aperture, 1.22µm pixel size, Ambient Light Sensor
Front Camera Hardware - 60MP, f/2.2 aperture, 0.61µm pixel size | Quad Pixel Technology for 1.22µm

Not sure if anyone had this experience but seeking some help. Activated the phone with the supplied SIM, but the SIM never worked. It keeps saying "No SIM" and the network is not registered and I can't even search for one. I unlocked the phone and other SIMs work. Perhaps this is a SIM issue but now I can't login or switch to eSIM because, the login attempt always sends an OTP to boost number that never worked. CS is not much helpful. wondering if anyone has any other thoughts to make this work
did u try boost sim after u unlocked?

did u try a factory restore and then the boost sim again?

They just ask if number was ported you say yes. They refund and credit account for the month of service.
How long did it take you to get a refund? They made me turn autopay back on, supposedly it will take 3-5 business days to credit to that card. I just want to make sure I turn off autopay and don't get charged for the next month of service.

Never mind, the credit just came thru and appeared in my bank account! Gonna log in and cancel autopay again

Gadgetgone is same company as buybackboss they use IMEI to check carrier this comes back Dish Wireless on IMEI if its not retail unlocked they will offer you half. I sent Tracfone A54 network unlocked after they offered $149 and then only paid me $90. Smartphoneplus is best bet "Other Carrier" flawless $167

sim faces upwards when push it in on this phone. Could be dead sim you can put it in another phone even locked to see if recognized

I had a same issue as well. After inputting my IMEI in boost app, it couldn't get past the next screen.

I decided to pick up a new sim from a physical Boost Mobile location and that one worked. You do have to either call support or use the support chat in the Boost app to let them know about the new sim. I used the app chat.

Got one for $59.99 (existing customer on $162.50 annual plan) to (at least temporarily) replace my wife's S22, which started to have issues connecting to cellular networks. We're not sure if we like the somewhat larger phone, but that's all a personal preference issues. A few other notes:

- Not a huge fan of the curved edges on the screen. We're case and screen protector people. Cases seem OK, but not great. Screen protectors are pretty much a no go.
- Processor is great... not a 2025 flagship, but I've never had to have the most recent phone.
- Screen is bright and smooth.
- 512gb is total overkill for our use case, but nice to have.
- Had gotten used to Samsung's android skin, but the more stock Moto version is quite good.
- Samsung camera is a bit better with better software processing and the 3x camera.
- Moto battery is a significant upgrade over the smaller (and older) Samsung.

If I was doing a flat our comparison, I like the size and camera of the Samsung... battery and processor of the Moto.

For $59.99, it's a steal.

I needed a Boost SIM card to use the $10/month plan for a visiting relative. Their iPhone 11 eSIM didn't work for Boost. The store wanted to charge me ~$12 for the SIM card.
What did the SIM card cost you?

Never seen complaint about storage lol. 512 is a miracle at this price, no Galaxy or iphone deals with similar. Some of you are so picky. The screen was curved before you bought it. You knowingly got something with a known design style and bothered by it.

Any cellular issue is due to boost not the phone though. I tested the phone with T-Mobile and Verizon. Boost has poor reception, not the phone's fault. Moto usually has best signal of US brands. The battery is better than even S24/S25. Samsung isn't great for endurance, I have used them since S1. But this Edge gets charged every 3-4 days for me.

The sim was free. I just told them the truth. I ordered a new phone with a new line and had been unable to active it do to a bad/broken sim. They gave me a new one at no cost and told me I had to contact Boost customer service about the new sim number.

The note on the 512gb wasn't a complaint... just mentioned that it was necessary for how we use the phone. Also, have never had a phone with the curved screen... not really a complaint, just an observation.

As for the connectivity problem being a Boost issue... you're just wrong. The phone simply stopped working. We've got another phone on Boost... and a phone on Google Fi. Swapped SIMs around and it's definitely the phone. But, thanks for playing out game...

Have you tried activating/switching it to esim via boost customer service? Might help you narrow down whether it's an issue with the sim card/reader or the cellular system. And it provides an opportunity to possibly get you up and running in half an hour.

Apologies if this has already been covered, went back about 4 or 5 pages and didn't see the origin of this issue.
