Buying multiple phones?
Consider this.
The first phone will be 120.
Subsequent phones (either purchased at same time on withing next few days) will be less.
Boost has a weird way of billing and its often confusion. No one has figured it out yet.
Many have made speculations:

My first purchase cost me $125.90 in total then subsequently thereafter I purchased 2x more phones which came out to $94.84 each.
Since you bought the first phone at regular price, Boost treats any further purchases as an additional line since they're on the same account.
However, bear in mind Boost will automatically enable autopay again so be sure to disable it prior to your next billing cycle recurring.

To reduce installation of games and other unwanted apps:
Set up without going on WiFi or inserting SIM card. Click on Skip for WiFi and Set up offline for the SIM card. Then Continue to set up offline.
Go to the App manager, click to view system apps. Then disable App cloud, Mobile Applicatons Manager.
After that you can enable WiFi, isert SIM card, activate.

Can we put the sim in a different phone, old throwaway, instead of the edge +, and satisfy activating the line?

Then can swap sim cards it reactivates automatically and sends you email saying you've successfully swapped devices.
After activating edge+ i swapped the sim card into older phone and used it.

Used the i-imei $3 unlock again, took 5mins; however, they did give me 2 codes (8digits each) called Master Service Lock and Ontime lock. Both are different numbers, but I inserted my Tmobile sim and used the master service lock code, and it now unlocked.
