Buying multiple phones?
Consider this.
The first phone will be 120.
Subsequent phones (either purchased at same time on withing next few days) will be less.
Boost has a weird way of billing and its often confusion. No one has figured it out yet.
Many have made speculations:

My first purchase cost me $125.90 in total then subsequently thereafter I purchased 2x more phones which came out to $94.84 each.
Since you bought the first phone at regular price, Boost treats any further purchases as an additional line since they're on the same account.
However, bear in mind Boost will automatically enable autopay again so be sure to disable it prior to your next billing cycle recurring.

To reduce installation of games and other unwanted apps:
Set up without going on WiFi or inserting SIM card. Click on Skip for WiFi and Set up offline for the SIM card. Then Continue to set up offline.
Go to the App manager, click to view system apps. Then disable App cloud, Mobile Applicatons Manager.
After that you can enable WiFi, isert SIM card, activate.

I was thinking about picking it up on my active $15 line.Kinda want to wait and see how the Edge 2025 gets priced, the 3x zoom is what I'm after
The Edge 2025 is a mid level phone not a flagship it only comes with 256gb and uses a MediaTek processor. Even two years later it can't match the Edge+ 2023. Especially not at this price. The best phones are flagships at bargain prices.

I assume the idea is indeed to cancel (or let it expire) the service after one month? What is the balance after that? Thanks!
The rule of the game is for prepaid wireless service if you don't pay, the balance of that month is $0 and no service. Dont call to cancel, just let it expires.

how long does boost take to ship?
It's real hit or miss but usually same to next day. One of my recent orders took about 2-weeks due to a delay of their own. My last order I placed on a Friday (this past) and it was delivered the next day but to the wrong house.

This is perhaps the best phone you will ever buy with $120. If you're thinking about buying, just do it. Buy two.
Yup. Used the refund trick. Only issue is the mid tier camera. Everything else is perfect for me, and plenty of storage for music and movies. Battery lasts me 4 days usually on lineage.

It can be officially upgraded to Android 15 (boost OTA), or upgrade to android 16 (Lineageos OS 23).
Can anybody confirm this phone works with Spectrum? I ran it through their IMEI checker and it says it's not compatible with their network. Can you test yours to see if it says the same thing after "unlocking"?

It should 100% work with Spectrum Mobile. Generally a carriers IMEI compatibility checker will not align with the unlock status of your device since the unlock doesn't "notify" any system that your device is actually unlocked therefore showing a false status.

XM mobile says returns most phones imei are incompatible.
only approve certain late model iphones + small # of android
but i used a old iphone 8 (i think) imei to pass the checker ,
got a XM sim card, put that sim card in this phone.
no issues

That was the main reason I bought this phone, and it is fantastic. Only other phones that can do this are Samsungs, other than basic screen mirroring or a janky developer desktop mode like my pixel 9 Pro XL.
