10/3/2025.
Reports are that boost may may changed their T & C.
(Around 10/1/2025 . maybe, not clear)
Requiring activating phone and using service for some time.
(3 months?).
Do your research.
However, may not matter much as phone appears to be gone for good from boost website.

You must activate the phone on boost network within 30 days of purchase.
If not you may be charged the full MSRP of the Device(s).
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
best practice=open the phone. activate the boost account. make a call or 2. send a text or 2
phone call &/or text just insures the phone number has been fully registered on the boost network
while not entirely necessary, just to be safe.
and not get a $600 bill or get sent to collections
[ which has happened to at least one user on this thread ]
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
make sure u activate.
By checking this box I agree to e-transaction/e-signature, Privacy Policy, Terms & Conditions. Once activated I authorize Boost Mobile to automatically charge my card monthly for my Boost Mobile services, taxes and surcharges. My service will not begin until my SIM is activated. If you do not activate your Device(s) on the Boost Mobile network within 30 days of purchase, you may be charged the full MSRP of the Device(s) (less your purchase price), if applicable, to the card used today or any alternative method. . I also agree to receive communications regarding this order via email, SMS, or phone call using the contact information provided

Buying multiple phones?
Consider this.
The first phone will be 120.
Subsequent phones (either purchased at same time on withing next few days) will be less.
Boost has a weird way of billing and its often confusion. No one has figured it out yet.
Many have made speculations:
For example. Below is from a user.
My first purchase cost me $125.90 in total then subsequently thereafter I purchased 2x more phones which came out to $94.84 each.
Since you bought the first phone at regular price, Boost treats any further purchases as an additional line since they're on the same account.
However, bear in mind Boost will automatically enable autopay again so be sure to disable it prior to your next billing cycle recurring.

Wow. Out of curiosity and so I have a better understanding of the limits for my own Edge+, what exactly happened to yours? Dropped it into a pool? The ocean? I've dunked my IP67 iphone xr in seawater and aside from speaker issues which manifested themselves just this year, it's going strong with no issues. So to hear an IP68 rated (supposedly) phone get completely bricked from some water exposure is unreal to me lol.
Not unreal. Go to Google or YouTube and plenty of phones have died from falling into pools or other bodies of water. It's not unheard of.
IP68 is NOT for saltwater, do not mislead people. Even iPhones have died in pools which are treated with chemicals, or saltwater. You guys are too disingenuous omg. Yes you were lucky, but IP68 is meant for a specific type of water not all. It does not mean waterproof.
iPhones generally have higher build quality and MSRP, so it's not crazy to assume difference in seal reliability. Perhaps their specific phone had a defective seal. It's hard to determine what happened and why. Did the user drop the phone previously on land, leading to a damaged seal?

It fell about 6 inches into a non-saltwater pool for literally 1 second. I was in the pool to catch it, and I even turned it off immediately. I've seen posts on reddit that are similar to my situation. There is just no way this thing is remotely close to ip68. edit-- It will charge and turn on, but touch screen doesn't respond and it just resets into a boot loop until the battery dies. I've had it sealed with silica packets for like 2 weeks now and it hasn't helped.

here is a quick summary:
so u want to port out the number.
i am assuming you do not care for the number,
as you will lose it.
porting out is the best way to "cancel your service" without getting pressured by
boost rep to continue
from boost u will need:
--the account number
--port out pin
--maybe your zip code
--the telephone number of course
u need to send that information to me.
i will port out the number from boost to metro.
once that happens, your boost account will be cancelled.
effectively ending your obligation with boost.
u will no longer have access to that number
make sure u have satisfied the requirements for boost.
that is:
activated the boost number on your moto phone.
made a call or 2 (not needed but out of completeness to active on boost network)
sent a text or 2 (not needed but out of completeness to active on boost network)
unlocked the phone (not needed but this is whole point of getting this phone)
do your homework.
read up if un sure.
know exactly what it means to port out of boost.
do not worry.
this very common practice here on slick deal
I've messaged you along with all others requesting their devices to be unlocked.
