10/3/2025.
Reports are that boost may may changed their T & C.
(Around 10/1/2025 . maybe, not clear)
Requiring activating phone and using service for some time.
(3 months?).
Do your research.
However, may not matter much as phone appears to be gone for good from boost website.

You must activate the phone on boost network within 30 days of purchase.
If not you may be charged the full MSRP of the Device(s).
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
best practice=open the phone. activate the boost account. make a call or 2. send a text or 2
phone call &/or text just insures the phone number has been fully registered on the boost network
while not entirely necessary, just to be safe.
and not get a $600 bill or get sent to collections
[ which has happened to at least one user on this thread ]
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
make sure u activate.
By checking this box I agree to e-transaction/e-signature, Privacy Policy, Terms & Conditions. Once activated I authorize Boost Mobile to automatically charge my card monthly for my Boost Mobile services, taxes and surcharges. My service will not begin until my SIM is activated. If you do not activate your Device(s) on the Boost Mobile network within 30 days of purchase, you may be charged the full MSRP of the Device(s) (less your purchase price), if applicable, to the card used today or any alternative method. . I also agree to receive communications regarding this order via email, SMS, or phone call using the contact information provided

Buying multiple phones?
Consider this.
The first phone will be 120.
Subsequent phones (either purchased at same time on withing next few days) will be less.
Boost has a weird way of billing and its often confusion. No one has figured it out yet.
Many have made speculations:
For example. Below is from a user.
My first purchase cost me $125.90 in total then subsequently thereafter I purchased 2x more phones which came out to $94.84 each.
Since you bought the first phone at regular price, Boost treats any further purchases as an additional line since they're on the same account.
However, bear in mind Boost will automatically enable autopay again so be sure to disable it prior to your next billing cycle recurring.

BPRO77 - Your inbox is full. I'm surprised mine isn't yet.
My phone is set to deliver on Monday. Why did I get an email from Boost telling me "Thanks for activating your device"? Do Boost automatically activate the device when they ship?
@evil1004 - If you selected that you wanted a new # then yes most times they activate it when it ships.

So there is no reliable unlock service for this phone, right?
Just message ThriftyGame5232. Me and a bunch off others here unlocked with him
Thank you, yes I am available.
The messaging system here on SD is not great. Thanks!

If you have 2 eight digit codes it doesn't hurt to try both, the phone gives you more attempts if the # is incorrect.
If either happens to be the right one the phone will notify you that the unlock was successful and you can verify again in the settings -> about phone menu

I ended up trying the Master Service Lock code and it worked fine. But was just curious what the Ontime Lock code is for. Is it really possible for different codes to unlock the same phone?
Did you order the right service? 'Motorola Worldwide Unlock - Instant' is the one you want. When entering your IMEI before submitting order you need to put in the first 14 numbers of IMEI #1, the 15th number is auto calculated in a separate field next to the 'ADD' button. Verify the 15th number matches the last digit of your IMEI #1. Then submit order.

Yes, ordered the "Motorola Worldwide Unlock - Instant" service that cost $3. They provide the two different 8 digit codes for Master Service Lock and Ontime Lock. I'm not sure if there's a typo in "Ontime Lock" (maybe it's supposed to be Onetime Lock?).

That's just a fancy way of saying you're screencasting which I actually prefer to do using a direct, physical connection and I have compatible cabling capable of pulling off that feature.
Way more functional than basic Screen Casting or mirroring. Also it's using a UsbC to HDMI cable to any monitor or TV. Wireless only works if you're using a PC with the Smart Connect app installed. Otherwise, then you are just Screen casting.
