10/3/2025.
Reports are that boost may may changed their T & C.
(Around 10/1/2025 . maybe, not clear)
Requiring activating phone and using service for some time.
(3 months?).
Do your research.
However, may not matter much as phone appears to be gone for good from boost website.
________________________________________________________________
You must activate the phone on boost network within 30 days of purchase.
If not you may be charged the full MSRP of the Device(s).
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
best practice=open the phone. activate the boost account. make a call or 2. send a text or 2
phone call &/or text just insures the phone number has been fully registered on the boost network
while not entirely necessary, just to be safe.
and not get a $600 bill or get sent to collections
[ which has happened to at least one user on this thread ]
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
make sure u activate.
By checking this box I agree to e-transaction/e-signature, Privacy Policy, Terms & Conditions. Once activated I authorize Boost Mobile to automatically charge my card monthly for my Boost Mobile services, taxes and surcharges. My service will not begin until my SIM is activated. If you do not activate your Device(s) on the Boost Mobile network within 30 days of purchase, you may be charged the full MSRP of the Device(s) (less your purchase price), if applicable, to the card used today or any alternative method. . I also agree to receive communications regarding this order via email, SMS, or phone call using the contact information provided

Buying multiple phones?
Consider this.
The first phone will be 120.
Subsequent phones (either purchased at same time on withing next few days) will be less.
Boost has a weird way of billing and its often confusion. No one has figured it out yet.
Many have made speculations:
For example. Below is from a user.
My first purchase cost me $125.90 in total then subsequently thereafter I purchased 2x more phones which came out to $94.84 each.
Since you bought the first phone at regular price, Boost treats any further purchases as an additional line since they're on the same account.
However, bear in mind Boost will automatically enable autopay again so be sure to disable it prior to your next billing cycle recurring.

I already posted a photo of my edge+ 2023 with the Smart Connect app disabled and then connected to a monitor. Obviously you didn't try that, easily done in the app settings. "Settings/Apps/Smart Connect/Disable."
https://imgur.com/a/r1afrrN
Like I said, it then works just like any other Usb 3.1 phone to display out the screen WITHOUT the Smart Connect App.
Not like the photo you just posted WITH the Smart Connect app enabled.
I'd go a step further and REMOVE the Smart Connect App from the phone altogether using Canta, but I'm afraid you still wouldn't comprehend, would throw out more insults, and I'd be wasting my time.
Edit: Maybe you can comprehend AI better?
"AI Overview
No, a Motorola Edge does not always require the Smart Connect app to display to a monitor, as you can use Miracast or USB-C DisplayPort Alt Mode for screen mirroring and desktop experiences. However, Smart Connect (or its predecessor, Ready For) provides an enhanced and integrated experience, offering features like a desktop mode, unified video apps, and gaming interfaces, which makes it the recommended method for a more complete experience on supported devices."
Then I gave him the correct IMEI 1 again. And still unlock was unsuccessful.
Even after repeating the numbers to type them right. It was still my 1st mistake.
did u ever get it unlocked? from the other party?
i am of the belief that:
all these folks that have the codes have the same code.
so no need to pay more than $3.
if its gonna be successfully, it will be successful by any seller.
i understand the initial mistake which resulted in a wrong code as expected
still odd that the correct imie did not get correct code.
that is puzzling to me
A common question people have is "in which order do you unlock and activate". My answer is that it does not matter. I personally unlock my devices on first boot on the "Hi there" screen before setup and any network connection is made.
Me and thrifty went back and forth. At first I gave him the correct IMEI 2 and incorrect IMEI 1.
Then I gave him the correct IMEI 1 again. And still unlock was unsuccessful.
Even after repeating the numbers to type them right. It was still my 1st mistake.
thanks for update and clarity .

Out of close to 200 successful unlock from this forum alone it was definitely a rare thing. There's many success stories along the way as all can tell.

Could someone post message me the website they used to unlock it for $15.
unlocklocks dot com 🙂
My recent order was one of the unsuccessful unlocks with thrifty.
So I had to go to thru
gsmunlockusa DOT com
It was $5 deposit through PayPal. And the code cost $1.95.
But here we are!
Which service did you order that worked from gsmunlockusa? They have so many different services/options and I'd like to try it, since since I am in the same situation. Thanks
Sent you a few messages. I know you probably really busy at the moment..
I see what the problem is, I missed a messaged and as they mentioned I was given the wrong IMEI. I missed the message with the correct IMEI. Confirm that the last 3-digits of the unlock code are 641 and this is proof that this was a simple mistake.
So does that mean you been able to unlock all requests?

full transparency is good.
summary:
codes are same.
everyone [that knows how to get codes
go with the cheapest option
i will port out the number from boost to metro.
once that happens , your boost account will be cancelled/closed.
effectively ending your obligation with boost.
while this is quite common here on slick deals,
do your homework. read up if un sure.
assumptions:
--you do not care for the number, as you will lose it.
--make sure u have satisfied the requirements for boost.
that is:
activated the boost number on your moto phone.
made a call or 2 (not needed but out of completeness to active on boost network)
sent a text or 2 (not needed but out of completeness to active on boost network)
unlocked the phone (not needed but this is whole point of getting the phone)
from boost u will need:
--the account number
--port out pin
--maybe your zip code
--the telephone number of course
u need to send that information to me via pm

You really are that dense man, smh. Why would I be that time-invested to go through the trouble of posting on a thread to show I know what I'm talking a/b if I didn't actually own the device that said thread is attributed to? The phone demonstrably requires the Smart Connect app to display onto an external screen and it is NOT native (compared to my Sony Xperia 5 IV) and it WILL NOT work w/o Smart Connect. I'm now starting to realize that you thrive off attention by making low IQ contrarian arguments.
Stop trying to save face and Admit your wrong.

Most phones are getting boring with features. Marginal improvements yearly with better processor, better screen and better camera. Not really noticeable. Innovation is lacking but Motorola has an interesting Smart Connect to me. Will a Motorola Edge+ 2023 replace my desktop? No but I can find it useful or enjoyable. I don't think it is a useless gimmick.

Not sure why Frank keeps insisting this phone can't do Display Out without the smart connect app, when I've already proven that it will. It's not some special feature, literally any phone with USB 3.1 and 1.4 display out can do this.

Iirc, some Snapdragon chipsets have wired USB-C display capability built-in.

The Edge 50 Ultra from last year has a Snapdragon 8 gen 3.I'd love to have one but they're not sold in the US. I guess you could buy an international version online.
