Boost Mobile [boostmobile.com] has 512GB Motorola edge+ 2023 Smartphone (Boost Mobile Locked, Black) on sale for $59.99 + $60 1-Month Unlimited Talk/Text/Data Service = $119.99. Shipping is free.

This phone is now back in stock at Boost. It's a steal at this price still has better specs than most phones out there especially with 512gb of storage. I bought one on last years deal and was able to unlock it via one of the unlockers who were kicked off of eBay. Many didn't have the unlock codes yet back then but would assume their available now. YMMV. I currently use mine with Instabridge esim for 5gb of free data a month. Just bought another for my wife.

Note, on product page select "I don't want protection" or Boost Protect will be added to cart at $12/month.

Specs (source [motorola.com]):
Processor: Qualcomm SM8550-AB Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 (4 nm)
Display: 6.7" 1080x2400 165Hz pOLED
RAM: 8GB LPDDR5X
Storage: 512GB
Operating system: Android 13
Battery: 5100mah
Cameras:
Rear Camera Hardware - 50MP, 1/1.5" optical format, f/1.8 aperture, 1.0µm pixel size | Quad Pixel Technology for 2.0µm, Omni-directional PDAF, Optical Image Stabilization, 50MP Ultrawide angle (114° FOV), Macro Vision, f/2.2 aperture, 0.64µm pixel size | Quad Pixel, Technology for 1.28µm, 12MP Portrait (2x telephoto), f/1.6 aperture, 1.22µm pixel size, Ambient Light Sensor
Front Camera Hardware - 60MP, f/2.2 aperture, 0.61µm pixel size | Quad Pixel Technology for 1.22µm

Yea. I already have an adjustable portable metal phone stand and thought the Motorola Ready For dock is nice but kinda expensive as the benefit is the cooling fan. It doesn't appear to charge. If gaming, it could be nice with cooling fan. I will look into a docking station sale in the future. Too bad the Motorola Edge+ 2023 doesn't have bypass charging or a way to be connected to power charging and direct connecting to a monitor. I have a Pixel 9a and it has the ability to run on power cord and not the battery. Last night I actually found out that it can use direct wired connection to a monitor but it doesn't have that nice desktop mode like Smart Connect or Dex.
I connected generic usb-c to HDMI hub with usc-c pd port and charges the phone while phone is connected to an external display.

Anyone using a Magsafe case that works well? Pls. share where purchased info. Thanks.
I'm not going to take any risks with a fragile, all glass phone with a curved screen. I just bought a Poetic Guardian Case for Motorola Moto Edge Plus 5G 2023 on Amazon. Should be here tomorrow. I hate thick bulky cases, but there's not a single slim case that will manage to protect the screen edges the way I'm used to with my flat screen phones in the past. I'm already dreading buying this phone... LOL

Thanks, case looks nice from photos. Will just have to wait for it to go on sale as $20 = almost 20% of total phone cost

FYI - this is the official Motorola case for this phone. It's a clear case that claims to have an anti-yellowing feature. Pricey at $20 though.

I got this "bumper" case - it has a raised lip all around - front and back . It may interfere with screen protector.

if you have coins you can get for $1

That's not the Moto Edge+ 2023 is it? I have the exact same version of the case for the Edge+ 23 you just shared the pictures. It does not protect the curved screen sides at all. I do not recommend this type of minimalist case for any phone with curved displays.

Does anybody else's billing history look like this? The only charge that's been posted to my credit card is the initial $124.03. No clue what the other numbers are. Wanted to remove the CC from the account, but of course they won't let me without first adding another one.

Any case is going to interfere with a screen protector on a curved display phone because the cases flex as they are being gripped or shuffled in and out of pockets etc. What I've found works best is to order a hydrogel and then shave 2mm off the bottom using a paper trimmer so it comes out perfectly straight that ends up giving you just enough clearance so that the screen protectors don't peel/bubble up as easily. Having 2mm of the top/bottom screen not under the protector is better than having it peeled up with lint and crap getting trapped underneath IMO

Wanted to do port out, boost seem to have the port out lock, anyone dealt with customer service with porting out yet? simple?
Correct. They locked the port-out and ask to call to unlock. That is terrible. Spectrum is the best and they allowed their customers to do this online inside the account without any problems.

Yea. I purchased the Anker 5-in-1 USB hub for $9.99 sale (retail $19.99) so that device will help charge and also display at the same time. After ordering, I was looking at the expensive Motorola dock but I believe it doesn't charge the phone and I believe Gullzway mentioned how he uses a USB hub with charging and HDMI out. I looked into that and ordered the Anker model for $9.99 sale. Tomorrow I should get my Motorola Edge +2023. I know I will like the phone and Smart Connect too. I am digging the Motorola G Stylus 2025 right now and typing on it now.

I used to always put tempered glass protectors on my phones but some phones like Samsung would have some slight edge and would create a halo effect with the tempered glass. I just removed the tempered glass. The gorilla glass definitely isn't fragile and is very strong and durable. I believe that was Gorilla Glass 3. I never got a scratch or crack on that phone. The Motorola Edge+ 2023 uses Victus which is much stronger than the past Gorilla glass. I am fine and confident with Victus gorilla glass. I am pretty careful and don't drop my phone though.

"Corning Gorilla Glass Victus is a type of toughened cover glass designed for smartphones that offers improved drop resistance and scratch resistance compared to previous versions. It can withstand drops from up to 2 meters onto rough surfaces like asphalt and is also up to 2x more scratch-resistant than Gorilla Glass 6. The glass is manufactured using an ion exchange process that creates high compressive stress on the surface, making it more durable."
  • When it comes to cases, I always use cases for all my phones for protection.

Do I even need to activate this, or can I just unlock and use elsewhere?
