As much as I like this movie, the first Swordsman is my favorite even though the film's feel is weird due to the multiple changes in directors. Sam Hui just seems a better fit as the care free swordsman than Jet Li. Plus you get the origin story of the same manuscript song thingy.

From the carefree perspective, I agree. I do like Jet Li's martial arts performance better though.
