Again.. i tried the 500sa as bouncy and didn't work. The built in ones did. When I say they didn't work i mean it sounded like there was a normal bookshelf on top my my tower pointed at me. Zero sound was coming from above. All the sound was directly coming at me. With the built in ones it worked. i guess because the speaker is recessed and the woofer/tweeter does not have a direct line of sight to my head like the one you can put on the top of another speaker. btw you don't have to have the II. You can use the original ones too as front heights or surround. They also have the switch.

It's likely more because of the different environment, each is completely different.
Wondering if i should dump 990c. So far it's working well at 80hz cutoff and gain of 5.
May get the rel tiny sub to handle the other spectrum. 80hz on the klipsch is great, but could be better if it's set to 70hz or less.... but i'll need to fill the in between. The klipsch is too powerful to let it play the higher frequencies (rumbles).

Traditional speakers won't actually improve the inferior content by much if at all.
Not to mention to take advantage of a traditional setup, proper implementation is vital.
The quality of each of them matters quite a bit also.
You can't just stick a speaker in a room, unfortunately not that simple.
These "upfiring" designs are not ideal & can be a big challenge with proper implementation.
Only knowing/assuming you want to stick with Klipsch.
This is very general terms.
RP-8000f(L/R fronts)
RP-504c(center)
RP-1200/1400SW (subwoofer)
RP-600M(surrounds)
I would buy them in that order, piece by piece if you have to.
IF you want to upgrade to object based soundtracks(Atmos/DTS-X), 2 overhead pairs is mandatory imo.
Imo you would need to follow this layout to make the upgrade worthwhile. https://www.dolby.com/siteassets/...ounted.pdf
If you can then you can use Klipsch CDT-5800-C II for object based speaker placements.
If you can't or won't, in my experience I wouldn't bother with Atmos.
Especially how popular streaming has become, you really don't take full advantage of it with it anyways.
Hope that helps and good luck.

Sound is completely subjective, adding "best bang for the buck" makes it exponentially more complicated!
Unfortunately "best bang for the buck" varies wildly from person to person.
Which one applies to you, you would have to listen for yourself, not as easy as it use to be nowadays.
