I had a wired version from the same line before this and it had a light clamping force great for all day usage. These Arctis Pro headset have a heavy clamping for thanks to being wireless and needing to ensure that the weight of the battery doesn't fall off your head. I decided to leave them stretched out over the top of my desktop case to loosen them up and it worked great. I can wear them for an hour or two without hurting my head.
Second, the audio can pass through to the audio line out port, ONLY WHEN using the USB input for a PC. It will pass through the audio when the headset power is off and then redirect to the headset when you power them on. I really wish it redirected all audio sources to the line out when the headset is off, but unfortunately that is not the case.
Overall though, I am very happy about the headset. I thought at first with how tight they felt that I would still end up using the wired headset I had but it's been a few months now and I have not gone back to the wired headset again. Battery life is pretty solid and never had it run out during a meeting.

I went ahead and picked it up for my son that needed a new headset and I have bestbuy "total" so I get 2 year warranty plus I had some GC's to blow.

May pickup a second set for backup/bedroom tv watching. I dont think it gets better than this at this price.

I had a similar experience. Also lots of audio dropping issues and just poor overall quality. Would not recommend SteelSeries to anyone, no matter the deal.
No problems with audio cutting out, ever. The interface on the breakout box and its OLED display are good. A variety of inputs and outputs so I've been able to use it in a lot of different applications over the years with my TV, PC, recording equipment, etc. Swapping with the built-in battery charger is probably the best feature. The software DID suck in the past with retaining presets and freezing up, but I don't have any trouble with it now. My only complaint right now is not being able to change Sonar presets quickly through the system tray, only the standard settings.
