DFW is soda ($10.99 a 12pk), iceberg lettuce, and ground turkey.

Dollar General has the best deals on soda these days (with coupons in the app).

It's always specifically the soda (buy 2, get 3 free) or the potato chips and other closely related items (buy 2, get 3 free and the ad shows Doritos and Cheetos) that you have to buy some insanely large quantity of to get the sale price.

Translation: We, Kroger, WANT you to be addicted to fat and sugar!

The things that go on sale regularly are always unhealthy. Usually for a given sale item there's always a healthier choice. But healthy food isn't profitable. They need to sell you GMO corn products and seed oils compressed at 700°F

Jealous - I want that brisket deal to hit GA. I will buy a few of them and freeze for later.

It feels more widespread than that. I stopped by to pick up a couple small items for dinner and most of what they had was bulk-packed. Look, I just need 4 chicken thighs for a meal, not a 6 pound package of them; if I wanted to buy that much I'd got o Costco or Sam's and pay half the price.

Though, really, if you start looking at the layout, its being taken over by pre-prepared foods which I'm sure have a much higher margin than the staples.

Doesnt look like this sale applies to Kroger affiliate stores (Dillons). Last year their ads were almost identical.

Does that include produce, too?

People celebrate for the holidays. BBQs, still celebrating graduations, etc. These are typical staples for those types of events.

More than anything they want people to come to the store and buy more of everything. Not just junk (although I agree there is plenty of it available).

I often get great Brisket deals as Lidl in GA. Be sure to look out for their sales.

Free ourselves from corporate poison. Stick to water + tea / coffee and you will thank yourself in the long term. Obesity/diabetes is a thing , as profiteers don't give a shite about our health
