Looks like it wastes a lot of pineapple near the edges.

We have a similar one (plastic vs metal) and it really doesn't. Maybe a little, but mostly just the part you'd cut off anyway. The thing is honestly incredible, but I recommend using it over a bowl or container to catch the juice!

Can the pineapple cutting board be mounted on the wall… upside down? Asking for a friend…

The cutting board is cute but hardly ideal for cutting pineapple.

My local grocery store always sells whole pineapple for $4.99 ..... or cored and peeled with this exact tool for $7.99. 🤔

Nothing is wasted.
Use the slicer to pull most of the meat out in a few seconds, then use the left over core and skin to make a good pineapple skin tea. https://plantyou.com/pineapple-skin-tea/

As mentioned, the bamboo cutting board is too small to be of use when cutting a nice sized pineapple.

I just got back from a Hawaii vacation a few days ago where we went on a Maui pineapple tour. They handed us a fresh cut pineapple to take a picture with.. then a goofy pic.. so naturally I held it upside down with my wife.

The guy told me that it was like a pineapple slur meaning it isn't very sweet.. I told him it means something a little different on the mainland 🤣

He had also said that the core is often thrown away, but is actually the most nutrient rich part of it.

Store bought pineapples are usually harvested pre ripened and the core is likely harder, but being fresh they are much softer and less chewy.. I won a pineapple by knowing the Hawaii state fish. 😁

Some useless knowledge for y'all.
