Ah man that picture was misleading, I thought it was for two cameras. In for the buy anyways, been looking to upgrade from Ring without a subscription.

ugh I thought it was one with the HomeBase. Everytime I look closer it gets worse.

N.B., I have been very thorough in all aspects of set-up. Save your money. Tracking feature is sporadic. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.
Hit and miss with capturing video that is further than 15 feet away.
If using with Homebase 3 and there is a power outage, no video will be recorded to the onboard memory of the S340 unit or any other cameras that are connected to the HB3, rendering all cameras useless They will record if you're not using the Home Base. You would think that the software engineering could figure out a way to initialize and use onboard camera recording in the event of a power outage. This has been confirmed by tech support.
Look elsewhere.

Why you guys riding Costco so hard?
Pretty goofy comment. Costco's return policy, for one, is a strong reason to buy from there instead

I have this, love it. Has not need to manually charge it since getting it as the solar panel does the job.

Just have an UPS backup for your HB3. That will run for a long time or use HomeBase S380 which features a built-in battery backup, providing uninterrupted operation in the event of a power outage to keep your home protected at all times.

One nice thing about these is that they come with a 2 year warrantee. I ended up getting one of these and then a 2 pack of another model.

Buy it from Costco so you can return it when the solar panels stop working. 😒

Don't buy this garbage.
This camera hardly does anything.
The farking AI claim is bullshit it never follows the subject and when it captures something it's mostly after a few seconds lag.
In fact don't buy anything from Eufy with a camera, another one of Eufy floodlight cameras failed right after out of warranty and that crappy customer service wanted to give me $15 fark Eufy. My 4 years old Arlo is still working fine

Many people like Costco because of their consistently solid pricing, their customer service, and because they take decent care of their employees. I'd buy from Costco over Amazon, Sam's, Walmart, etc. any day. I'd work there before any of the others, too.

The Homebase 3 is the model S380!!!
I have this Homebase and it definitely does not come with a battery backup installed in it. You really don't know what you're talking about. Yes, you would need to purchase battery backup supply units with enough power to run the Homebase 3 (known as model S380) and to power your modem+router if you are using a mesh system to reach far placed cameras as well as a battery backup for each mesh module.
That being said, it would be a very easy for software code to be written for the solar powered cameras to begin recording to the solar camera's built-in memory (8 gig) once it detects that the wifi signal has been lost. The solar cameras are already programmed to record to their built-in memory if there is no Homebase being used.
On a more serious note, the software and cameras are not good. Don't spend additional money for a power supply to power this junk in the event of a power outage.

So what are the main differences between the two models?

I am trying to decode Eufy's model number nomenclature. E.g., we have S3, S340, E40... is the E series better than the S series? Is S340 better than S3? How about S3 Pro?

If you're having a difficult time decoding, Eufy is having just as difficult time coming up with model names and model numbers that make sense to them and the public.

S3 at Costco vs S340 for this deal. And the S3 at Costco is on sale for $129.
