I bought these last month at BJs for $179 to be used primarily as hearing aids. To all of you old folks out there like me (69yr) that have hearing loss this is a great deal. Lot's of airpod hearing aid options in your iPhone. You can scan an existing hearing report or take a hearing test on your iPhone and it will automatically configure your airpods based on your hearing loss. These are FDA certified as OTC hearing aids. They work great when listening to music and answering calls if you have hearing loss. The transition from hearing aid and earbuds is seemless. Some reviews on Amazon indicated these were better than some prescription hearing aids costing thousands of dollars. If you don't like them as hearing aids you can still use them as regular earbuds.

I wish there is an indicator when these are used as hearing-aids, because then it tells people that you are using them as hearing Ids and not to listen to music. Why does it matter? I don't normally talk to people who are using earphones including AirPods, either because I don't want to disturb their enjoyment of listening to music or whatever, or because I know many people wear them because they simply want to let others know that they don't want to be disturbed. Wearing headphones is particularly problematic in the workplace environment where casual interactions are important but are often impaired by people with headphones. That's why I don't wear headphones, or immediately take them off after a zoom call. But people don't know that when you are using these earphones as hearing aids. When you are using them as hearing aids, you are indicating that you are inviting people to talk to you and that you are trying to listen to people, which is the opposite of using these devices as a method to shoo people away.
You bring up a good point. When I first started wearing them and I knew I was going to interact with people I knew I would tell them about my new airpod hearing aids. When I interact with other people I debate whether to tell them my airpods are hearing aids. It is a dilemma. I will probably get dedicated hearing aids at some point in the future.

As the hearing aid feature does the battery last less I'm assuming it's on all the time so it should be less?
I'm not sure. These are my first set of airpods. I only use them when I think I need them. They usualy last several hours before I have to put them back in the case to charge.

I returned these to Amazon after determining they were refurbished/used products being sold as new. My best buy box has no sticker on the serial number. My Amazon box had a sticker that listed the serial number. I'm assuming it's a good way to tell if yours is new or not.
I learned the hard way to always verify the seller to make sure it's Amazon. Like wise with Walmart.com, Sam's Club, etc. The third party sellers will drop their price a penny and it will show them before Amazon.

Be careful buying these from Amazon. I bought from this deal and the AirPods were already named. To boot, they were named "Sexy's Airpods Pro". I was shocked when that popped up. On one hand it's pretty funny, but on the other it's disappointing getting a brand new product and it already being named - thereby likely not being new.Edit: Turns out these aren't coming from Amazon. If you look on your order, it says "Sold by: Amazon.com. Supplied by: other." SHADY AF.Rep alleges supplier is Apple tho. Hmm.
There you go I only buy supplied by Amazon. In for one. Hahaha not dup but a dup postOnes I buy says supplied and sold by Amazon we will see

Yes, it says shipped and sold by Amazon but when you go into your order under order details it says supplied by "other".
