Installation is fairly diy, the only advanced part is drilling a hole on the counter. Will require a special drill bit.

Alternatively you can just replace the kitchen faucet to a new one that has a special part for this type of installation.

Or if you have those small sinks in a kitchen that is secondary, just turn that into a reverse osmosis only water faucet.

Thanks, bought one since my existing RO filter is needing replacement and I dislike the unknown brand one my plumber installed. Also bought a permeate pump to increase efficiency.

I have an identical unit made by ispring.

The positives? Great performance with low TDS. Also, great customer service. I emailed them about the outlet faucet leaking and they sent me a new one free.

The negative? The 3 top filters are an absolute misery to replace. I honestly have no idea why they don't make it as simple to replace as the bottom 3 twist offs. You need a plumber's license to replace the top 3 filters with the little connectors and it is near impossible to do it without leaks. I'm fairly handy and it has never taken me less than 5 hours of cussing to replace all 6 filters. Never mind keeping the order of the filters and position and water direction in the same place.

Here's an idea of what you are in store for: this is my list of notes from the last time I did the replacement. I dread doing it every year.

I spring water filter replacement

Red tube is water incoming

Sanitize system before replacing filters. Remove all 3 bottom filters. 3 spoonfuls of bleach into first filter housing. Remove all filters. Replace housing. Remove membrane. Replace membrane cap. Sanitizing will destroy whatever filters are still on. Do this before replacing with new filters!

Replacing filters

Stage 1 - sediment filter 5 micron (model FP15) 6 months

Stage 2 - GAC Carbon Filter (model FG15) 6 months

Stage 3 - CTO Carbon Filter (model FC15) 6 months

White tubing to reverse osmosis element

(Remember to disconnect and flush after replacing stage 1,2,3 filters!!!)

Stage 4 - Reverse Osmosis membrane
(Model Greatwell MC7 75Gpd ) 2-3 years

Touch only blue plastic housing to avoid contamination. Replace o ring on threading, not the cap.

Stage 5 - Post Carbon (Model FT15) 1 year

Alkaline Water Filter (Model FA15) 1 year
