Nice find. For those wondering, a quick check on Amazon shows that the genuine Canon replacement toners are going to run about ~$100 each ($72-110 for black, roughly $110 for the others) depending on which one you get (067 and 067H cartridges). Each color is a separate cartridge. 067 is the regular capacity, 067H is the High Capacity. This is expected with laser printers since you tend to get a better price per page, but it's just advice for those considering the consumable costs.

I'm still on the included toners because I pretty much only print a few shipping labels and envelopes, and pics of my dogs. But this is an even better deal than I got on it. I will be buying third party cartridges though when it comes time. Saw several whole sets when I looked for $50 range or so.

How long do these generally last though? I know it's based on useage but just assuming casual use.

While I don't have first hand experience with them, the description shows this:

067:
Black: yields up to 1,350 pages / Cyan, Magenta, Yellow: yields up to 1,250 pages each (ISO / IEC Standard).

067H:
Black: yields up to 3,130 pages / Cyan, Magenta, Yellow: yields up to 2,350 pages each (ISO / IEC Standard).

That's good to hear about how long they've lasted. I only suggested the genuine ones out of caution. Seen a few printers ruined by cheap ones, but I do know there are good alternatives out there so I wanted to provide the "worst case" option pricewise.

I've had a color laser printer get ruined by using generic toners. So I buy genuine toners for my Canon color laser printer.

However, my Canon monochrome laser printer does fine with generic toners

When they changed to the new toners, the consumables skyrocketed...making it a more difficult decision....If you have a link to the ~ $50 'whole set', please share a link - I'd like to read the reviews Smilie

Please pardon the regularly-asked question; does the printer come with "Starter" Cartridges?

I'm assuming no third party toners given it's Canon.

Third-party toner cartridges work just fine.
I've had this laser printer for over a year, and I'd give it a solid 3.5/5. I'm using it in a small business environment and my concerns stem primarily on the long wait for the printer to spool after sending over a document. Sometimes it takes 15seconds and others a solid two minutes. I recently integrated it with a print server, hoping the delay would be mitigated but had no luck. One other quirk is that the device required a bit of configuration when assigning it a static IP via dhcp at the router level. For some reason it refused to print double sided documents after being assigned a static IP and I had to toggle a couple of things via the printer's interface menu.
The third-party toner is super affordable though.

Can I ask which brand you are using? Where do you buy it from?

I'm considering replacing my printer 15 year old HP color laser.

I've owned this printer for about 5 years. Bought it as my home printer and expensed it to my company. It has been a really good printer. I'll agree with the spooling times / sometimes it takes a while, sometimes it's really quick. Wireless printing is generally great using WIFI from iPhone/iPad/PC. One thing I will say, is that the toner is really expensive. I print a lot of color flyers for my work and I'm replacing the toner about every 9 months. I've tried multiple knock off toners, but the quality of print is much lower with all knock offs I've tried - so I'm back to using legit Canon.
