yes this works. Even better NYC gets tax refund on the trade in so your net net is the actual difference of the trade in value and the new phone. With that money saved on taxes, you can upgrade to the higher storage in store (if available) and still come out ahead. So have them do the trade in NYC store. If they order online, then it gets shipped to your OH service address only, no exceptions.

I don't think NYC is getting the tax back from trade in anymore. Let me know otherwise.

So how you know they stopped giving tax back? You just bought from them lately? I hv no issues getting tax back for the past 4 years.

I been doing spectrum deals for years as well, but my last month trade ins didn't includes tax. and they change the way we can get our credit back once it's on our account. I requested my credit balance couple days ago and they couldn't do it for some reason and create a ticket and i'm still waiting on their response.

Just got the trade in email. I wonder if this means the order is shipping soon. I'll probably send my phone in immediately so hopefully it's processed faster

I looked at the math some guy posted previously for trading in a flip or iPhone 13. Quick math seems like it's not worth the trouble

I believe they can check if the phone is in their network. You actually need to have the Spectrum Mobile Number in fold 7 for 60 days.
